Tucker and Mitch Domanico are looking forward to their first Christmas with their lovers, Keith and Blake. Quint Domanico doesn’t love the holidays as much as his brothers, but for the sake of his family he’s willing to get into the spirit. Seeing his brothers’ newfound happiness makes Quint wonder if it’s time for the Domanico who fears commitment be daring enough to finally open his heart.
Excerpt:
“A little more to the right,” Keith said, his gorgeous brown eyes intense. He moistened his sexy lips and tilted his head slightly to the side.
Groaning, Tucker shifted his body, adjusting to the angle his lover preferred. Apparently it wasn’t quite right because Keith continued, “No, a bit more to the left. Slowly now. We don’t want to rush it.”
Tucker groaned. “Babe, you’re killing me.”
“But it’s almost perfect.”
“There.” Tucker placed the oversized Christmas tree in the corner and said, “Now it’s perfect because I’m not busting my back over whether or not a freakin’ tree is an inch or so off-center.”
“There are times when an inch or so is crucial.” Keith folded his arms across his chest and narrowed his eyes at Tucker.
“You can’t really be upset about the stupid tree.” Tucker approached, his brow furrowed.
Keith grinned. “No, but if we don’t argue about something, how can we possibly make up?”
He slid his arms around Tucker’s neck and Tucker tugged him even closer for a tender kiss.
They had been dating since Halloween, but they already knew they were meant to be together for life. Tucker had moved in with Keith a couple of weeks ago and they were planning a February wedding.
“Let’s get this tree decorated. Then we still have gifts to wrap,” Keith said.
“We? Babe, you said you’d take care of wrapping. I’m in charge of sticking the bows.”
Keith laughed and shook his head. “Why did I make a bargain like that?”
“Because I carried this big ass tree up three flights to our apartment.”
“You’re a lifeguard. You swim in the ocean all day. I don’t think carrying a little tree is going to wear you out.”
“Little?” Tucker curled his lip. “Babe, there’s probably a family of raccoons still living in that thing. Couldn’t we have gotten one of those little plastic trees?”
“Let me give you some advice about decorating for the holidays.”
“Advice? Don’t you ever take a day off?” Tucker teased.
Keith was an advice columnist for a local GLBT newspaper. Tucker had actually written to him once and that innocent little letter had nearly destroyed their relationship before it began. At least everything had turned out well. Keith was the love of his life and Tucker was glad to know Keith felt the same way about him.
“Tucker, Christmas is a week away and we still have a lot to do. On Christmas Eve we’re going to my parents’ house. Then we go to your parents’ place on Christmas Day. We haven’t even completely finished shopping, not to mention I’m swamped with work. Lots of people get depressed around the holidays and the letters I’ve been getting are so sad.”
“Can you forget the column for a minute?”
“With your help I can forget it for an hour or so.” Keith smiled and reached around to squeeze Tucker’s ass.
Tucker moaned. “I can do that, but are you sure we have time? I mean you have every second planned out. I wouldn’t want to ruin your holiday frenzy with great sex.”
“Sometimes you’re a brat.”
“Shut up and come here.” Tucker’s tender expression belied his harsh words. He gently tugged Keith toward the couch and they tumbled onto it, laughing and kissing.
