Say hello to guest blogger Phoebe Matthews. Her book GOLDILOCKS IN MUDFLAT was released today. Find out more about Phoebe and her books in her interview below.
What are your favorite genres to read and write?
My favorite genre to read is urban fantasy, with contemporary stories set in the real world and complicated by magic, and that is also what I love to write
To you what type of hero/heroine is the hottest?
Heroines need backbone, no wimps allowed! And as for heroes, I like a guy who is cheerful, talkative, and kind, and oh yeah, courage and strength are easy to find but where oh where are the good listeners?
Share one of the sexiest or most romantic lines from one of your books.
My books tend to be adventure/action/suspense stories and if you’re looking for hot sex, you’ll be disappointed. There’s always a love story. My editors say I do sexual tension. In a book titled DEJA VU LOVER, when the heroine first mistakes the guy for someone else, he comes up with:
“Call me Graham, will you, because I will never remember to answer to Laurence. And don’t apologize. For the rest of my life I shall consider it my great good fortune that on a particular winter day a particular trick of light made me resemble someone named Laurence. Lucky me, that brought into my world a mysterious lady of unsurpassed beauty and no name.”
Okay, I had to laugh at that.
Maybe you can guess that the speaker is a poetry professor.
Speaking as one of your characters, describe in a sentence or two what makes your partner irresistible.
In the Mudflat series, Claire Carmody describes her boyfriend as: I ran my fingertip around the outer curve of his ear, and he ducked his head, glanced up from the corner of his eye, all glitter and laugher, and oh god, yes, he certainly is elven. That may explain the magic that possesses my heart. I never intended to love anyone so much.
Please tell us about your latest release?
