Hello! It’s a hot Sunday afternoon. Lately not many days have felt like summer, but today definitely does. 🙂
I recently received the cover for my upcoming novella Hungry Novice. The story is the sequel to Starving Artist and is scheduled to release this month. You can see the cover below along with a blurb and excerpt from the story.
Please check out the great guests who have visited this blog and Compelling Beasts over the past week. There have been lots of excerpts and interviews.
If you have a chance, don’t forget to visit some of my stops on The Red King blog tour.
Have a great week, everybody!

Coming Soon – Hungry Novice
Blair and May are supposed to be living their happily ever after, but for them it’s not that easy. Lately the only place they’ve been able to get along is in bed. May wants to join Blair’s vampiric family in their battle against evil, but he wants nothing more than to keep her safe. Unable to reconcile, Blair sets May free, but when he’s captured by enemies, the tables turn and it’s up to May to defend him — possibly to the death. How far will a newly-made vampire go to test her powers?
Excerpt of the Week:
Hungry Novice
Hamilton rose and took a step toward Blair who pulled him into a snug embrace.
“Thank you,” Blair repeated.
“Congratulations. Your first blood child.”
“And my last, I think.”
“Maybe.” Hamilton stepped back but continued gripping Blair’s shoulders. “Or maybe not. None of us know what the future holds. I suppose that’s what makes life exciting, even for vampires.”
“Blair.”
At the sound of May’s voice, both men turned to the doorway through which she had stepped, looking well rested and radiant in her pale pink dressing robe.
“Darling, are you well?” Blair strode toward her and took her in his arms.
“Well doesn’t begin to describe how wonderful I feel.” She smiled, hugging his neck. She gazed into his eyes and said, “We truly did it.”
“Yes we did.”
“Welcome to our world, May,” Hamilton said. “Ariel’s bloodline has a new daughter.”
