TOP FIVE Favorite Vampire movies of all time
(and yes I was able to whittle it down to 5 but not easily)
- Twilight
But not just any of the movies, though I’ve seen them all, the one that really grabbed and offered me more is Breaking Dawn Pt. 2 (though that doesn’t mean I wasn’t pissed at that ending-almost threw my DVD player)
- Dracula 2000
Gerard Butler as a vampire. Need I say more?
- Interview With A Vampire
First off, Brad Pitt was a perfect Louie and Tom Cruise as Lestat? Yes, please. This was also one of those times where for me the movie was better than the book (and no that doesn’t happen often). It took me nearly a month to finish that book, yet the movie? Couldn’t get enough.
- Bram Stokers Dracula
I loved the book and I loved the movie. I have no idea why, but I found this to be one of the most creepy vampires stories ever. It also had some strong sensuality going on that even while you’re scared you’re excited too.
My number ONE vampire movie recommendation is Let The Right One In
This is not your typical vampire movie, it’s actually a coming of age story where one of the characters coming of age happens to be a vampire. It’s beautiful, dark, mysterious, creepy and scary, all things that vampires are supposed to be.
I should also mention here if you just want a thrilling vampire movie that may be lacking a little in the plot department, but is still a lot of fun, then definitely give Thirty Days of Night a whirl.
