Where are you from?
I was born in Michigan, but moved to Salvation, North Carolina when I was a teenager. For the past decade, Chicago has been my home.
What is your weapon of choice?
I may be a half-breed—really three-quarters werewolf—but I can shift. As far as we know, I’m the only one in the history of our species that’s been able to do it. So I don’t need a weapon. I can shift into a wolf and was taught to fight by some of the toughest wolves you’d ever want to meet—or not meet because they can be downright scary when they want to be. I can take care of myself.
Do you have a code of honor?
Loyalty and honor are words I live by, but they may not mean the same to a regular human as they do to me. I did my best to serve as a cop in Chicago, but I won’t hesitate to kill in order to protect my family.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Why would I change anything? I’m perfect. Just ask Hannah or my twin. *smirks* On second thought, probably best that you don’t.
What do you think is your greatest weakness?
I’d say I don’t have any. My family might say I’m a tad stubborn. After all, I moved to Chicago and lived there for a decade all because of a dream I had.
What do you think is your enemy’s greatest strength?
He’s a full-blooded werewolf, which means he’s a powerful son of a bitch. And he’s driven to kill any of us who aren’t full-blooded.
What do you think is your enemy’s greatest weakness?
He kills because he can, because of bigotry. I, on the other hand, fight for family, for pack, for love. He’s also used to fighting humans and defeating them easily. I spent my life training with dangerous full-blooded werewolves, knowing I might have to defend myself against one of his kind some day.
Name one person you trust.
My twin brother. Sage and I have a bond that is unique and unbreakable. I never thought I’d experience anything like it again. Then I met Hannah…
Wolf in her Soul
Salvation Pack, Book 8
Detective Reece Gallagher has spent the last decade working as a cop in Chicago so he can search for her—the red-haired woman who haunts his dreams. He’s just about ready to give up and go home to Salvation, North Carolina, when he finally finds her. But she’s the assault victim on a case he’s working on, and there’s a full-blooded werewolf who wants her dead. He needs to keep her safe and convince her she’s his mate.
Hannah Burdette has a secret she’s never told anyone. But there is someone who knows who—or rather, what—she is. There’s a stalker after her who plans to rid the world of her “impure” blood. When the cop she meets turns out to be a werewolf and claims she doesn’t have to be alone anymore, she’s wary. But where better to hide from a bloodthirsty hunter than in the middle of North Carolina with the security of a pack surrounding her?

Where was the doctor?
Hannah stared at the IV in her arm. It was time. She removed the tape and pulled the needle out. The machine began to beep.
“You can’t go in there.” She recognized the nurse’s voice. “Sir?” Nurse Jones was getting closer.
Hannah picked up her knapsack and swung it over her shoulder. Every muscle in her body quivered. Her stomach ached, but she ignored the pain. She had bigger problems than her wounds.
The curtain was yanked open and a man filled the space. At least six-two, maybe more, he was wearing black slacks, a white dress shirt, and a sport coat, but there was no hiding the fact that he was lethal. His brown hair fell to his shoulders, his jaw was strong and square and his cheekbones were hard slashes on his face. But it was his eyes that caught and held her. They were the eyes of a predator.
Their gazes met and held, and the world began to spin. He leaped toward her, and she held up her hand to ward him off.
But he didn’t attack her. He lifted her gently and placed her back on the bed.
He was so close she could scent his woodsy soap. It held no chemical undertones, was totally natural. Beneath that scent, she could smell the man himself—warm and musky and…other.
She jerked her head up and looked more closely at his eyes. He met her stare unflinchingly.
He was no man. He was a wolf.
