a beautiful day for London.\u00a0 I hadn\u2019t yet seen the famous London fog.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sam opened a map, and spread it on the bed.\u00a0 \u201cChelsea Harbor is a bit out of the way, but only a five-minute walk to Imperial Wharf.\u201d\u00a0 Then he smiled, \u201cTaking the Overground line across the river, then the Southwest Trains, we should be able to get to Kew Gardens in about 20 minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Of course, we would then have the ubiquitous \u201810-minute walk\u2019 to Mistress Elena\u2019s house.\u00a0 I certainly wouldn\u2019t want to arrive late, so we would probably have to plan for an hour commute.\u00a0 Now that we were here, I was feeling less nervous about Elena\u2019s domme class, and actually looking forward to getting started.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cSo what would you like to do for your day in London?\u201d\u00a0 I shrugged, not having any goals for the day, except relaxing.\u00a0 Sam said, \u201cWe haven\u2019t seen the Natural History Museum or the Science Museum, yet.\u00a0 Or, if you prefer, we can make reservations for the matinee performance of a play.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I shook my head, \u201cI don\u2019t know if I could concentrate on a play, right now.\u00a0 Just walking around museums sounds OK.\u201d \u00a0I\u2019d been reading through most of the flight, and awake for nearly 24 hours, already.\u00a0 And we were just starting our day in London.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We took a taxi to the Natural History Museum, which was uncrowded on this weekday.\u00a0 It was a huge and ornate building, with some great exhibits \u2013 especially the huge skeletons of whales hanging from the ceiling, and the collection of dinosaurs.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Wandering through the museum, we entered the mineral gallery, and found the \u2018Vault\u2019, where some famous gems and stones were on display.\u00a0 We saw a huge emerald, a meteorite collection \u2013 including one from Mars, and the infamous \u2018cursed amethyst\u2019, which I\u2019d never heard of, before.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sam wanted to stop at a pub, but I suggested that we only have beer, and make a reservation for dinner.\u00a0 Browsing on his phone, Sam grinned, \u201cHere\u2019s a restaurant that has some really exotic dishes \u2013 crocodile tail, kangaroo steaks, python Carpaccio, and pan-fried crickets.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I shook my head, \u201cI already have butterflies in my stomach \u2026 I don\u2019t need crickets.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It took a second beer, but Sam finally found a restaurant he thought would be interesting and made an early reservation for us.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We walked to the Victoria and Albert Museum and looked at the upcoming exhibits.\u00a0 Just after my class there was a \u2018history of underwear\u2019 exhibit.\u00a0 We turned north, and walked several blocks to the Royal Albert Hall.\u00a0 There were no concerts tonight, but Sam saw that there was a Vivaldi concert we could attend on Saturday night.<\/p>\n \u201cSam, let\u2019s wait and see how I\u2019m feeling at that point.\u201d\u00a0 My stomach did a backflip with a double twist; I guess I was<\/em> still nervous.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We took the tour of Royal Albert Hall, which had been the venue for an unbelievable number of famous musicians over the past 150 years.\u00a0 Then, we walked into Hyde Park and through Kensington Gardens, past the Kensington Palace.\u00a0 We were still early, so we sat on a park bench, while Sam looked at the map of the surrounding area on his phone.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n He looked at his watch, and said, \u201cWe have time for a movie before dinner.\u00a0 There\u2019s an art film theater near the restaurant, and they\u2019re playing a film I\u2019ve wanted to see:\u00a0 \u2018Jeune et Jolie<\/em>\u2019 \u2013 \u2018Young and Beautiful\u2019, a Fran\u00e7ois Ozon film.\u201d\u00a0 I wasn\u2019t sure I wanted subtitles, but sitting sounded good, right now.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The theater was incredible \u2013 a classic building, but with comfortable leather armchairs and footstools.\u00a0 And the film was interesting \u2013 about a high school girl that becomes a call girl \u2026 until events overtake her.\u00a0 I yawned, as we exited the theater, and I realized I was starving.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We walked the short distance to Notting Hill, and found the restaurant.\u00a0 It was outrageous, with columns and arches, as in a medieval dungeon, but ornately decorated.\u00a0 There were several menus, and we started with a sampling of canap\u00e9s, ranging from cauliflower-truffle risotto balls, to goat\u2019s cheese tart with onion marmalade, and seared foie gras<\/em> with a reduced Madeira sauce.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n There were no pan-fried crickets, but the food was exotic enough for my taste.\u00a0 I ordered the tuna steak with mango salsa for my main course, and Sam selected the filet with B\u00e9arnaise<\/em> sauce.\u00a0 Of course, Sam insisted on sharing the dessert sampler.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n My first thought was that we would need to go on a diet again.\u00a0 But then, I realized, I had no idea what food we would be served at Elena\u2019s.\u00a0 My stomach was now too full to do any acrobatics;
