\u201cWhere are you, Amelia? Amelia!\u201d He ran, his breathing ragged. Trees lashed his naked body. He couldn\u2019t move as quickly as he wanted because the muddy ground swallowed him to his ankles.<\/p>\n

\u201cAmelia!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOrion!\u201d That wasn\u2019t her voice. It was Starr.<\/p>\n

\u201cWake up.\u201d That was Lucas. His friends leaned over him, shaking him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat the hell?\u201d Orion pushed himself to his elbows, still breathing hard. His heart raced and only one thought remained clear in his mind. He knew where she was and where he had to go. He stood quickly and headed toward the house. \u201cI have to leave.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLeave? Where to?\u201d Starr demanded.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo Amelia. Right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow auspicious,\u201d Lucas said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe got a call from Trinity. Something happened in Massachusetts,\u201d Starr told him.<\/p>\n

Orion wondered if a person could still remain upright when his heart was no longer beating. \u201cTo Amelia?\u201d<\/p>\n
