\u201cSure do.\u201d It\u2019s a contact point for the rebels in Baltimore. I\u2019ve attended meetings with the alpha there a few times. Interesting that he has an audition there. \u201cWhat time do you have to be there?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo o\u2019clock tomorrow afternoon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll give you a lift. Okay?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have to bother. I\u2019m going to try to find a room somewhere before I go to the audition. Whether I get the gig or not, I\u2019ll be staying around for a little bit. Do you know any decent places?\u201d<\/p>\n

A tremor of laughter ripples through him and he tilts his big blue-green gaze up to mine. \u201cWhat\u2019s this guy like? Is he kind of pushy? Asks a lot of questions?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, nobody\u2019s perfect, and if he\u2019s hanging out with someone, isn\u2019t it natural to want to know them better?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHow far is the apartment?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh it\u2019s real close.\u201d I brush waves of dark hair from his face and trail my fingertip down the length of his hawkish nose.<\/p>\n
