His eyes widened briefly. Then he scowled.<\/strong><\/p>\n Selena was generally a secure woman, but around him, her self-confidence <\/strong>slipped. It seemed everything she said annoyed or upset him. Again she wondered if <\/strong>Amber hadn\u2019t made a mistake sending her on this assignment. Maybe Jade was right. <\/strong>They were too different to ever understand each other.<\/strong><\/p>\n She almost turned away, but he spoke again. \u201cI don\u2019t know. I guess it\u2019s because I <\/strong>feel like I understand these people, especially the kids who\u2019ve lost parents. If not for Ari <\/strong>Marc, I would have been alone.<\/strong><\/p>\n That’s my 10 sentences, but here is the rest of Jade’s reply, to finish the section:<\/p>\n This camp gives people hope and a chance to belong to a place where they\u2019ll be treated fairly\u2014where they can have a decent life. I know it might seem like my Order is all about battle, but it\u2019s more than that. We don\u2019t fight to conquer. <\/strong>We do it to protect people who need it.
