Every week writers share 8-10 sentences from their work.<\/p>\nIt’s been a few weeks since I posted, but this excerpt from Wild Witches of Beaver Bay 1: Mysti and Starr picks up where the last one left off. Starr is in the woods and injured during a storm, but he’s not alone. Someone has just called out to him, but is it friend or foe?<\/p>\n

Excerpt:<\/strong><\/p>\n Starr turned and saw a woman approaching. She wore a yellow fisherman-style raincoat and hat that left half her face in shadow.<\/p>\n She approached and Starr hobbled toward her.<\/p>\n \u201cHi,\u201d he said. When she tilted her amber gaze to his, Starr\u2019s heart skipped a beat. So she\u2019s why I\u2019m here<\/em>.<\/p>\n Still staring at him, she swallowed and drew a deep breath through parted lips. \u201cInside where?\u201d Starr demanded.<\/p>\n Mysti and Starr (Wild Witches of Beaver Bay 1)<\/strong> A blazing trail only he can see leads demon hunting biker Starr Johanson to his destined mate. A blessing placed on her family\u2019s ancestral land summons Mysti Wild to the cabin where she\u2019ll meet the man fated to share her life.<\/p>\n Each fears the other will be frightened by magic they don\u2019t understand, but they quickly learn to trust each other, because no one can resist the person they were born to love.<\/p>\n
\nHe smiled faintly.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cWe\u2019d better get inside before we get struck or something,\u201d she said, glancing around and jumping a bit when sheet lighting illuminated the woods.<\/p>\n
