In it authors share 8-10 sentences from their work.<\/p>\nToday I’m sharing an excerpt from my upcoming re-release the Darkness Therein. It’s been great working on revisions for this book, including additional scenes. The Darkness Therein was my first published novel, and the entire Ancient Blood series has been a huge part of my life ever since. I’m thrilled to finally present them again in a way I’ve always wanted to.<\/p>\n

Excerpt:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThese are just some still life works, but there\u2019s a nice landscape\u2026\u201d she started to explain, but he walked past her directly to the most intimate of her collection. She bristled with anger. \u201cSorry if the others are too boring for you, and what you\u2019re looking at happens to be very personal to me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sorry,\u201d he murmured, though his gaze remained fixed on a group of paintings she had spent hours creating without the slightest difficulty. She\u2019d clearly seen every shape, sunset, building, and person. Though not a historian of any kind, she painted costumes and places as accurately as if she\u2019d been there. In her mind she had<\/em> been there, observing in a trance-like state and recording all she saw with her pencil and brush.<\/p>\n And a bit more, if you’d like to continue:<\/strong><\/p>\n Jocelyn continued, \u201cIt\u2019s just that these are so real. I\u2019ve been to each of these places and seen these people. I lived in that house. The coven met in that clearing amidst those trees.
