Charlie has just given Jocelyn a preview of her most recent painting, and she’s not quite sure what to make of his distress at seeing the painting of the little girl she called Bridget.<\/p>\n

Excerpt:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cSybil would be more appropriate, but it\u2019s your decision. After all, you\u2019re the artist.\u201d He drew a deep breath, the moisture fading from his eyes as if it had never been. \u201cShe\u2019s lovely. You\u2019re a wonderful artist.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cDid you know her?\u201d<\/p>\n He nodded. \u201cLong ago. I won\u2019t keep you any longer. I\u2019m sure you have work to do.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll get some sheets for one of the guest rooms and you can go to bed, if you want.\u201d<\/p>\n And a bit more to finish the scene:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cDon\u2019t bother.
