North Shore. If ya don’t know where that is, it’s across the bay from where the rich people live.
What is your main purpose in life?
My life doesn’t have a purpose. At the moment, my goal is to get through today and still be alive tomorrow morning.
Who is your greatest enemy and why?
Mike, my older brother. Why is he my enemy? ‘Cause he’s my older brother and he’s a dou…moron. He’s just smart enough to know I’m smarter than him, a better fighter and way better lookin’.
Do you think you can ever reconcile with this enemy?
Not in this lifetime.
Do you have a love interest?
Yea, Julie Anderson. She’s this cute little dancer and she makes me feel good about myself.
What is your weapon of choice?
Myself. I know there’s lots of guns and stuff, but if I can get my hands on someone, I’ll freeze his blood with a stare down then pound him with my fists until he understands I’m in charge.
What makes you happy?
Julie.
Do you have a code of honor?
Yea, I do. People just figure I’m bad ’cause of what I am, but there’s lines I won’t cross and lines that I’ll pound the sh…crap out of someone if they cross.
What makes you angry?
People who judge me before they meet me. They assume stuff. In their heads they’re thinkin’, “He’s from North Shore. So he’s stupid and into drugs and stuff.” They won’t give me a chance.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Get born on the right side of the bay.
What do you think is your greatest strength?
My character. It’s who I am and it’s what makes me strong.
What do you think is your greatest weakness?
I don’t know if I can explain it too good. I’ve been told since I was 10 or 12 that I was bad. I’m Shore and that’s bad. I’m a Shoresman and that’s bad. So I try to be good and do the right thing, but when I screw up, I’m kinda hard on myself. Julie’s Dad – Judge Anderson – says I’m supposed to forgive myself. But I ain’t exactly figured out what he means by that.
What do you think is your enemy’s greatest strength?
The fact that he’s my closest and only blood relation. I’d pound him into the ground if he wasn’t my brother.
What do you think is your enemy’s greatest weakness?
His self confidence. He thinks he’ll always beat me, but if he ever crosses a line – say he threatens Julie – I’ll take him down in a sec.
Name one person you admire.
Julie’s Mom. She’s so cool. She doesn’t cut me any slack. I think I might be more scared of her than anybody else.
Name one person you trust.
Julie. I’d trust her with my life.

Dancing in Circles – CIRCLES book 1
One born into privilege and a charmed life surrounded by love and family. The other born to a life of violence on the streets as the solemn gang leader of the notorious Shoresmen. A young, idealistic co-ed, Julie, meets a jaded, cold gang member, Robert, and cracks his icy shell, allowing the warmth of her love to awaken his soul.
But, is the love of a girl from wealthy Westland and a street punk from the slums of the Shore strong enough to surpass all that life will throw at them and forge a life together? Is Julie willing to sacrifice her childhood dream of becoming a professional dancer for the man she loves? Is Robert willing to lay down his ties to the gang in order to hold onto his new found love?
Sacrifices must be made, but will they be enough?

Warning – language
Scene set – Julie and Robert have gone on their first date to a local house party.
Robert stood near the beer line and watched as a brunette in a tight short skirt and low cut top strutted across the room and stood before him.
She dropped her gaze to his feet and moved it up to his hips then linked gazes with him. “Hello, tall, dark and totally fuckable.” She dragged her tongue across her top lip.
Robert’s chuckle started with a shake of his shoulders then moved to the crooked grin on his face before it erupted from his mouth.
She stepped in closer, slid her hand down his stomach and rested it on the inside of his thigh.
Robert didn’t release his gaze from hers. “What? Ya want me to just rip your clothes off and do ya here?”
Her pupils dilated.
Robert flicked her hand off his leg then glanced left and right to see who had slipped their arms around his.
“Tonya.” Tricia waited until the girl looked at her. “This gorgeous hunk of maleness is more man than you could ever handle.”
Jennifer flicked her hand. “Go away now. He’s all ours.”
Tonya turned on her heel and stormed off.
“Thank you.” Robert hunched his shoulders. “But I coulda handled that myself.”
“We’re just protecting Julie’s property.” Tricia winked and wandered over to speak with a friend.
Jennifer released his arm. “Tonya’s the school slut.”
Robert snorted. “Figured that out all by myself.”
Julie stopped in front of them. “Did you get lost coming back from getting the beer?” She glanced at his empty hands. “Or did you get lost going to find the beer?”
Christopher barged between them and bumped Robert’s shoulder. “Guess Jennifer’s starting to hang with trash.”
Robert lunged forward, grabbed Christopher’s shoulder and spun him around. Before Christopher could react, Robert slammed his palms on Christopher’s chest shoving him back a couple of steps. “I am so not going take any of this shit tonight. Ya wanna take this outside and end it now?” His shoulders heaved with the depth of breaths he inhaled.
Refusing to make eye contact with Robert, Christopher glanced around. “I didn’t mean nothing.”
With one step, Robert invaded Christopher’s personal space. “Yea, you did.” He locked his gaze onto Christopher’s and didn’t blink.
Jennifer started to step forward, but Julie touched her arm. “No, leave him alone. Let him deal. He won’t do anything stupid.”
Several heartbeats later, a friend of Christopher’s grabbed his arm, pulling him away.
Robert slightly turned his head and watched as they camouflaged Christopher into the crowd. He rolled his shoulders and twisted his head around then turned. All signs of anger had disappeared. He stepped closer to Jennifer. “Sorry. He shouldn’t have insulted ya. If ya want me to go, I’m outta here.”
She handed him an unopened beer, rose up on her toes and placed a tiny kiss on his cheek. “You did good. He’s an ass.” Smiling at the surprised look on Robert’s face, she walked over to a group of girls to mingle with her friends.
Still holding the beer, Robert walked nearer to Julie and pulled her close. “Thanks. I heard what you said. Thanks for trustin’ me.”

This sounds like an interesting book, especially since it focuses on dancing and bad boys.
There is just enough dancing in it to keep people who like dancing happy but not too much. And there’s just enough bad boy to keep everybody happy. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for letting Robert stop by and take over your blog.
Thank you for being a guest, Victoria!
Thank you for stopping by, Majanka!
