Do you drink blood or are you a psychic vampire?
I am a baobhan sith, dark fey. We cross into the highlands from our fey realm at least once a year to feed on men. We drink their blood.
What is the best thing about being a vampire?
My talons. When that crazy blonde Valkyrie pulled a sword on my man, Tor. I magically extended my fingernails into sharp claws and took care of her. She’s got one sword; I’ve got ten talons. I showed her.
How do you feel about humans?
The goddess Morrigan says humans do not think clearly. They often change their minds. So she has to present proof of Tor’s true choice, his preference of me over that Valkyrie tart, who wants him. I do not like her. She wants to kill Tor so she can take him to Valhalla. Morrigan says that Goddess Freyja will claim that her valkarie is more seductive and beautiful than me, Morrigan’s baobhan sith. But the Valkyrie are pasty and skinny. They cant’ compare to me or my sisters. Of course Tor chose me. My hair and lips are blazing red. I am hot…all through the night. He’d never pick that icy, woman in that silly winged helmet over me.
Who is your greatest enemy and why?
My greatest enemy is a Valkyrie named Randgrid. She’s gone rouge and has come from Valhalla to the early realm of the Scottish Highlands for Tor. Apparently he’s the descendant of some Viking hero so she wants to kill him so she can take him to Valhalla and party with him. I’m not letting her murder Tor or slice me with her sword. And I’m certainly not letting her take him to Valhalla.
Do you have a love interest?
Yes, Tor Gunn. The moment I saw him on that winding highland road, I wanted him. He’s tall, with muscles rippling under his black t-shirt. His silky, tawny hair frames his face from his firm, dimpled chin to his full lips. As he is of the Gunn clan he has Scottish and Viking heritage. And it’s due to his Norse heritage that a Valkyrie wants him. But too bad…he’s mine.
What is your weapon of choice?
I fight with my talons against the Valkyrie who use swords. My talons are sharper than any sword forged in Valhalla.

Excerpt:
A noisy, whoosh-like, shaking sound caught her attention and she looked up. What now? She gasped with shock. This cannot be. Three women descended from the ebony sky, wearing bronze helmets from which sprouted wings that flapped like a bird’s. What is happening? She hadn’t drunk any heather ale today. The blonde-haired women landed smoothly on their feet, the wings stopped flapping and lay back on their helmets, now totally still. All three women peered at her with glacier-blue eyes and thin, tight-lipped expressions. Her palms were damp with sweat, she felt shaky. The Earthly realm was such a crazy place. She rubbed her forehead. Why did she send her sisters away? She needed them now. Whoever or whatever these tall creatures in plate-armor corselets, flimsy white skirts and fur-topped boots were, they weren’t smiling at her.
She noticed the human checking out the women from the rear and glancing at her as well. He had a huge grin on his face as if his dreams had come true. Mordak, however, faced a nightmare.
The statuesque blonde in the center tilted her chin in the air. “The man is mine.”
“Yours?” Anger pulsated through Mordak’s body. “He’s not yours.” People couldn’t just fly down from who knows where and claim the man she liked. Mordak schooled her composure and met the woman’s gaze. “Just who or what are you?”
“Randgrid.” The tallest of the blondes didn’t break her stare, not even one blink. “I am a Valkyrie.” Her eyes, an icy blue, narrowed and she set her hand on her hip. “Begone, baobhan sith.”
