Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a writer of all things sexy and not so sexy. LOL. I write erotica, paranormal, sci-fi, contemporary and monster porn. My latest genre is urban fantasy and I’m loving it! I’ve been published since 2012 and each year is getting better and better. This has been an awesome ride.
Tell us about your most recent book.
The Guicai Talisman is the first book in The Undercity Chronicles of Babylonia Jones, P.I. series. The series is about a woman, Babylonia Jones who is a half-breed (half-human, half-paranormal). She’s lived most of her life in the human world, but desperately wants to fit in the paranormal world which is called The Undercity, but she’s not having much luck. As a paranormal P.I. she’s getting the jobs that the other paranormal P.I.’s deem not worth their time or too dangerous, so because she’s scraping the bottom of the barrel for work she finds herself in a ton of trouble ALL the time.
Is one of your main characters a supernatural creature that is traditionally considered “evil?” If yes, how does this character break that traditional stereotype?
Amelia or Melia as Baby calls her, is a Vampire. Melia breaks all types of stereotypes. Even though she sleeps in a coffin during the day, its pink and very girly. Melia is also very vain and has gotten herself a job as a news anchorwoman (which she’s very proud of). She’s self-absorbed, but we learn right away that she cares for Baby and would do anything for her. We haven’t seen Melia’s “evil” or bad side, but I suspect that we’ll see it soon as Baby is making some enemies in the Undercity.
What was the most difficult part of writing about this character?
Babylonia, “Baby”, was an easy character to write, but what was difficult was understanding her reaction and place in the Undercity (paranormal world). She wanted so badly to be a part of that world because she felt it was her birthright, but the other paranormal beings aren’t too welcoming. She’s hurt by this and it was hard to rein her character in because of it. She wanted to go hard and stay on ten throughout the story, but I had to calm her down a little. I surely didn’t want her to get hurt! If I would’ve let her run wild she’d end up dead. lol
What is one of your favorite paranormal creatures and why?
Hands down, Vampire. I’ve always been fascinated with Vampires from a very young age. When I was younger Vampires didn’t sparkle. They crawled up from the grave and had this sickly white skin and knarred teeth. They were horrifying. I like that they’ve evolved throughout the years. But they’re still my favorite paranormal beings. Zaid, Baby’s love interest, is a Vampire and while he doesn’t sparkle he’s evolved into a sexy heartthrob. He’s dangerous and rightly so since he’s been around since before Christ (his words). Zaid isn’t an open book, like all Vampires he has some secrets and has a dark side to him. Throughout the series we’ll learn more about Zaid and maybe some of his secrets.
Title: The Underground Chronicles of Babylonia Jones, PI: The Guicai Talisman
Author: A.M. Griffin
Genre: Urban Fantasy
What does a woman have to do to prove she belongs in the Undercity? Sure, I’m unclassed and only half paranormal, but that doesn’t mean I can’t solve cases. Since the established PI’s won’t acknowledge my right to a territory, I’m taking jobs from whoever will hire me, doing what I do best…proving myself to be a bad-ass problem solver. Which is how I find myself breaking into Zaid’s house, looking for a talisman my witch client says the very powerful vampire stole.
Now, I can make flowers grow, hear the wind’s whispers and talk to animals, but I don’t have the gift of seeing the future. If I did, I’d have known not to take this case. Because no matter the outcome, nothing good can come from messing with the Guicai Talisman, or it’s far too gorgeous guardian.

The next book in the series…
The Lycan Job
Being hired by the Alpha of the Lycan pack to solve the mystery of his son’s death could make my name as a PI in the Undercity—if it doesn’t get me killed first. Not only am I looking for a perp who obviously won’t hesitate to commit murder, but even before I get working on the problem I’m being threatened. That’s not going to stop me though. Neither is interference from Zaid, the hot Vampire who keeps popping up at the most inopportune times.
Yet this turns out to be anything but a straightforward case. I’m learning more about the workings of the Undercity than ever before, and what I’m finding out is pretty ugly. It’s making me question everything I thought I knew about the Houses, and what I’m missing by not being claimed by my father. But that may well be a question I won’t get a chance to ponder, because even tapping into every ability I possess might not be enough to help me survive the Lycan Job.
