The leader of the New Reign. She had fallen right into his trap.
“I’m not here to trap you, May,” he said in a soft, smooth voice. “I’m here to set you free.”
She reached for her gun and he shook his head. “I’m not the one you want to kill. It’s him.”
“What?”
“It’s the only way you’ll ever be free. Kill him and come to me. I promise you’ll always get the respect a warrior such as yourself deserves. You’ll be elite in our new world.”
“Kill Blair?”
“Doing so will only set him free as well. He can’t forget the past. He never will and because of it, you’ll be as much a slave to it as he is. Look.”
