Horror Recommended Movie: The Maze (1953)
A young couple’s happiness is ruined when he returns home for a family crisis only to call off their engagement several weeks later.
Unable to accept that the man she loves no longer returns her feelings, Kitty travels to the Scottish castle he recently inherited upon the death of his uncle.
The drastic change in Gerald’s appearance worries her and she knows something is terribly wrong, but how can she help a man who demands she leave his home and never return again?
The maze is about a family’s dark secret, hidden behind the walls of a castle and within the pathways of the giant maze outside.
This movie isn’t gory or terrifying, but the suspense is great and the ending will leave you with a feeling you wouldn’t expect at the conclusion of a horror movie.
If you like suspenseful movies with elements of gothic horror and science fiction, you would probably enjoy The Maze.
