Weekly Movie Recommendation–Always short so you can get right to the movie.
Title: Day of the Dead: Bloodline (2017)
Summary: A med student deals with a stalker before and after a zombie outbreak.
What I Liked: I love the characters in this movie, in particular Max, Miguel, and Zoe. Max and Miguel are both charismatic monsters in their own way. Max in particular is interesting because he is (in my opinion) less of a monster after becoming a zombie than he was when fully human. To clarify, he has more self-control as a zombie than he has as a human.
Miguel is trying to do the right thing, but his hunger for power is as bad as the zombies’ hunger for flesh. Because of this, he’s hated by the people he’s trying to protect.
Zoe is also a good character because she grows a lot from the start of the movie, when she can barely stand up for herself, to the end when she not only protects herself, but others.
Since this is supposed to be a short recommendation, I won’t go on any longer. Enjoy the movie!
Movie contains: Violence, Swearing.
