What is your main purpose in life?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

To gain as much power and money as I can.\u00a0 I\u2019m immortal, a bear shifter, and I have all the time in the world and I have patience, but right now I want to take over Dark Company from Xander\u2019s boss.\u00a0 Oh, and I forgot to mention, I want Xander\u2019s mate as my own.<\/p>\n

Do you have a love interest?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not love I feel for Frost, Xander\u2019s mate.\u00a0 She is immortal and is able to conceive.\u00a0 That will do well for me and securing my future.\u00a0 I have not met another shifter that is half human\/half shifter before, and I won\u2019t miss out on my opportunity to create my own offspring because she mated with a snow leopard.<\/p>\n

What is your weapon of choice?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a bear shifter.\u00a0 I don\u2019t need weapons.\u00a0 If I want to kill someone, even another immortal, all I have to do is decapitate them with one swipe of my claws and that\u2019s it.\u00a0 Guns and knives are only a distraction.\u00a0 I like to kill with my bare hands.<\/p>\n

Do you have a code of honor?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

No.\u00a0 I\u2019m out for myself like everyone else in the world is.\u00a0 I could give a shit about anyone\u2019s feelings.\u00a0 I want what I want and nothing and no one will stop me from getting it.\u00a0 What\u2019s the purpose of having a code of honor?\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t help those who have to kill for a living, so what\u2019s the point?<\/p>\n

Xander lurched forward and lifted him by the collar of his shirt until he was face-to-face with an extremely pissed off shifter.\u00a0 \u201cAnd how much money did you take in order to sacrifice Frost\u2019s life?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cA\u2026quarter of a million dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n

Xander tossed him aside with casual ease.\u00a0 Frost got a tiny bit of satisfaction when Bob hit the opposite wall harder than she had expected.<\/p>\n

\u201cWho would pay that much for a mission that would obviously fail?\u201d\u00a0 Xander thought aloud.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat would be me, Marcus.\u201d\u00a0 His voice floated in from the hallway.\u00a0 \u201cI needed an advantage to lure you out, take you captive, and extract information from you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Xander laughed, non-humorously, and it caused Marcus to clench his teeth together in frustration.\u00a0 The new addition looked a little like an evil henchmen in any 80\u2019s movie.\u00a0 His hair was military short, he wore all black with holsters strapped to his torso and a couple of knives sheathed against his thighs.\u00a0 While it would have been a great look on Xander, except for the haircut, Marcus made it look ridiculous.<\/p>\n

Marcus, distracted by his anger at Xander not taking him seriously, left her to search for a weapon that she could use if they needed to fight, having forgot, for a moment, about her newly acquired strength and speed.\u00a0 She dropped her head and cursed, but instead of ditching the weapon, she palmed it in her right hand and looked at Xander.<\/p>\n

Her mate was completely relaxed.\u00a0 His stance wide with his arms crossed over his massive chest.\u00a0 She growled when she realized that Marcus had been perusing Xander\u2019s body for way too long, the evidence clearly outlined in the front area of his tight black pants.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, for fuck sake.\u00a0 He\u2019s my mate, you idiot.\u00a0 I know that you\u2019ve been listening in on our conversation, we could scent you when we walked down the hallway.\u201d<\/p>\n

What?<\/em>\u00a0 Xander hadn\u2019t understood the first part of her outburst.<\/p>\n

Marcus is attracted to you and you could tell that if your gazed dropped down to his hard-on currently tenting the front of his pants.<\/em><\/p>\n

I\u2019ll pass, thanks.<\/em>\u00a0 Xander laughed before he pulled her in for a scorching kiss that left her throbbing and needy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I guess that I have to kill you both now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before Marcus could raise the gun he unclipped when Xander kissed her, Frost threw the letter opener deep into his right shoulder and a millisecond later, stood in front of him.\u00a0 She ripped the gun out of his hand and reached for the letter opener.\u00a0 She turned the letter opener counterclockwise about a half an inch and drew a cry of absolute pain from the little fucker.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s for having me shot in the shoulder.\u00a0 That fucking hurt, you asshole.\u201d<\/p>\n
