What is your main purpose in life?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My main purpose in life is vengeance, to hunt down the monsters responsible for the death of my parents. Only then will I know peace.<\/p>\n

Who is your greatest enemy and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My enemy is the evil man who killed my family and the group that he is a part of. I\u2019ve spent months infiltrating their ranks and am close now to reaching my goal.<\/p>\n

Do you have a love interest?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want a love interest. Can\u2019t afford to allow anyone to get that close to me. But somehow Chase Deveraux has found his way past all the walls I\u2019ve erected around myself. I hate being vulnerable even as I crave the closeness, the connection to another person.<\/p>\n

What is your weapon of choice?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I favor a crossbow. It\u2019s silent and deadly. But I can use whatever is at hand.<\/p>\n

What makes you happy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I used to be happy when my parents were alive. There was so much fun and laughter. But that is all gone now. I catch glimpses sometimes and think that maybe with Chase I could be happy. But we are too different, and I have put his family in jeopardy.<\/p>\n

Do you have a code of honor?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My code is to protect the innocent and make the guilty pay for their crimes against my family.<\/p>\n

Name one person you trust.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trust is a luxury I can\u2019t afford. Everyone has their own agenda. I can\u2019t allow anyone to get close to me for fear they will see the anger and vengeance in my heart and try to sway me from my path. \u201cI\u2019m Chase.\u201d He held out his hand, willing her to take it. \u201cChase Deveraux.\u201d<\/p>\n

She stared at it for the longest time before eventually wiping her palm on her pants and extending it toward him. Her hand was so much smaller than his, but he felt the calluses as they touched. She was no stranger to hard work.<\/p>\n

What an enigma Katya was\u2014a tough warrior exterior, but with the face of an angel.<\/p>\n

His fingers tightened around hers, unwilling to let go and lose this small contact between them. His body felt tight and alive, humming with energy. After the fatigue of the past few months, it was intoxicating. \u201cKatya.\u201d He said her name slowly, savoring the sound on his lips.<\/p>\n

She was staring at his mouth, her lips parting. He couldn\u2019t resist. Tugging her closer, he lowered his head and brushed his mouth against hers.<\/p>\n
