Loki Episode 2: The Variant, is slightly faster paced than the first episode, but for most of it, Loki is still in the clutches of the TVA. This episode prompts many questions. No matter how certain members of the TVA are that they\u2019re doing the right thing, it\u2019s hard to believe that anyone would be that accepting of having their free will taken away by the Time Keepers.<\/p>\n
Loki and Mobius have a precarious relationship. Though each (rightly) mistrusts the other, they seem to have a certain respect for each other that under the right circumstances might progress to friendship, though it\u2019s unlikely, considering we\u2019re dealing with Loki. Sustaining friendships isn\u2019t exactly his strong suit.<\/p>\n
Though I\u2019m enjoying the series, the TVA world isn\u2019t my favorite setting, and the end makes me hopeful that we\u2019ll be away from it more often than not in future episodes.<\/p>\n
This episode has two highlights. The first is \u00a0Loki\u2019s visit to Pompeii. A scene like this reminds you that more often than not, Loki lacks empathy\u2014and just when he\u2019s convinced you that he might have the potential to change.<\/p>\n
The second highlight is that we finally meet the Variant, Lady Loki, or so it appears. Nothing is certain, though, and I eagerly await the next episode.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
