Excerpt from Sam’s Silver Wolf:
“Here we are.” A vast snow drift clears, and a large log cabin comes into view. Had it been a snow drift, though? Maybe the Wild family magic is stronger than I think.
Ashley unlocks the door and steps into a spacious living room. The blast of heat from the fireplace is welcome after hours of running in the snow. The country-style furniture—dark wood with a handmade quilt tossed over the couch—fits the place. In a corner of the room stands a live Christmas tree covered in colorful ornaments. The scent of pine and the aroma of gingerbread fill the room. It’s almost weird, to find a place this nice and untouched by the demon occupation, but from what I’ve heard, it’s not all hikes in the snow and Christmas cookies.
