Today I’m sharing an excerpt from my latest release Northman’s Pleasure. It’s the second story in the Northmen’s Brides series and it focuses on Asgerd and Grim who were introduced in Northman’s Pleasure.

Excerpt:
At any moment Stein would show himself, at least he would if he wanted to die like a man. One way or another Grim intended to kill him, and Stein must know that. His only choice was to face his punishment and die with dignity or flee these lands like a coward, not that it would do him any good. Grim would hunt him down.
Of course Grim would give him a chance to fight. Every man deserved that much. If he defeated Grim, then he would have earned his life, but Grim had no intention of losing.
“Come face your destiny,” Grim bellowed. “I grow tired of waiting.”
A moment later, Stein and Asgerd emerged from the longhouse.
And a bit more:
She was more beautiful than ever. Even her worn tunic couldn’t hide her generous curves. What impressed him most was that her eyes shone with rage instead of fear despite the rough hold Stein had on her and the threat of his blade against her throat. She had always been an uncommonly beautiful woman. Now he saw that she had courage as well.
“You know why I’m here, Stein.” Grim tightened his hold on his sword. “You have cheated the king and abducted his daughter. Now you’ll pay your debt.”
“If you want to kill me, Grim, you’ll have to go through her—the king’s daughter.”

Tension-filled snippet! Stein seems quite the coward, hiding behind a woman. i don’t doubt Grim will dispatch him with ease, with or without his human shield. I’d love to see THAT battle in your coming snippets! Tweeted.
I can never get enough of this setting! Can’t wait to jump right into it!
Sounds like it’s just getting good.
