Two days later, the wolf had recovered enough to accompany Grim to the forge where they spent most of the day. Ivar was quite impressed with Grim’s skill, and Asgerd understood why. His foster father had taught him well, and Grim seemed to pour his heart and soul into every strike of his hammer.
One evening, after everyone sat down to eat and Grim had yet to return, Asgerd walked to the forge where he was still hard at work. She heard the ring of his hammer on steel even before she stepped inside. Grim was completely focused on the sword he was making, his tunic damp with sweat. The wolf lay nearby, but stood upon seeing Asgerd and approached her. She touched the animal, glancing at it quickly, before her gaze returned to her handsome husband.
“Grim,” she said.
He paused and looked at her. His smoldering gaze swept her from head to toe.
“Asgerd.”
“It’s time to eat,” she said. “The others have already started.”
“Have they?” He put his hammer aside and held up the blade he’d been working on. He placed it in a bucket of water and it sizzled.
Asgerd moistened her lips. Something about the watching Grim work metal aroused her greatly.

There is just something appealing about a smith…
Hello, Kate!
I agree that it’s seductive to watch someone who’s totally focused on what they are doing.
