Max stared at the children. “Well, what do you think? Do you like her?”
“Oh, yes, sir,” Jane said.
“Good. Sam, do you?”
“She’s nice.”
Max nodded. “I agree. She’s much nicer than those other ladies, isn’t she?”
“Can she stay?” Jane asked.
“Yes, I believe she should.” Max’s heartbeat fluttered. This was truly insane. He’d better get control of his shameless desire for this woman who was going to live in his home and teach his children.
