It’s easy to know when Flick, the shapeshifting hero of Mate Marks: Breath, is aroused. Yes, he displays the same characteristics of a human male and “rises” to the occasion, but in his Froth Glider form, he turns from gold to bright orange when he’s in the mood for love.
Froth Gliders have both human and reptilian characteristics, but only a Guardian like Flick has the ability to shift shape, looking either fully human or fully Froth Glider. Like certain real-life lizards, Froth Gliders change color to let the opposite sex know they’re ready to mate.
Flick’s human lover, Teena, can enjoy making love with him no matter what form he’s in, but she loves seeing that orange color when he comes to her in his Froth Glider form. Flick enjoys making love in that form too, because there’s the added benefit of his sensitive tail. That’s part of another story, though. It’s called Tail Boner, a free Changeling Encounter that will soon be available for download.
