2. He hadn’t expected Rebecca to be so damn sexy.
3. Knowing she resided in Whisper should have been enough to make him realize just how unusual she was.
4. The connection was eternal and unbreakable.
5. It wasn’t in her nature to be dishonest, nor was it in her nature to allow herself to be disrespected.
6. If that meant associating with a fellow wraith, especially one with gorgeous blue eyes and a bonemelting smile, then she’d do it.
7. She remembered how cool he’d felt earlier, but he’d warmed up at the bar, perhaps getting accustomed to his human form again.
8. “The question is, how long has it been since you’ve made love in human form?”
9. That’s why he found her so interesting and irresistible.
10. “Last time I asked you this, I got a pitcher of lemonade dumped on my corporeal head, but I’d really like to understand

11. She could guess what he was thinking, that the wraiths who trained her hadn’t done a very good job.
12. She and Hugh seemed to melt into one.
13. “Only that he’s attractive, from New Zealand and his visit has something to do with your horses.”
