Thursday 13 – Thirteen Kisses

13 Kisses from my Ellora’s Cave books.

1. From Back to Haunt You – Wendy nodded, and before either of them realized what was happening, they’d leaned closer and their lips touched. Devin’s pulse leapt at the feeling of her soft mouth against his. It was a chaste kiss at first, a mere brushing of moist flesh against flesh. His arms wrapped around her and she unfastened his hair from where it was bound at his nape. Her fingers sifted through the tendrils and massaged his scalp.

2. From Blaze – Her hand strayed to his wrist and sinewy forearm dusted with reddish-brown hair. Cupping her cheek, he turned her face to his. Those enormous blue eyes, clear, honest and filled with desire, gazed into hers. She turned, stood on tiptoe and slid her arms around his neck. Embracing her, he kissed her deeply.

3. From Cryptic Trysts – “You’re attracted to me. I’m very attracted to you and you work for me. I guarantee you, Cody, you will have a fantastic bonus this year.” She took a step closer. Placing a hand behind his neck she stood on tiptoe and kissed him.

Damn, the woman could kiss! Cody’s eyes slipped shut and he resisted the urge to crush her in his embrace.

4. From Darkness Therein – Tenderly he took her lower lip between his teeth. In spite of the sharpness of his incisors, he drew no blood. She never imagined a man kissing with such tenderness. It was like a spirit’s kiss, almost imperceptible but empowered.

5. From Dream Stallion – Inez grasped the back of his neck and attempted to pull him to her for a kiss. She only succeeded in hauling herself upward instead. Either way his lips were hers.

6. From God of the Grim – He swept her into his arms and kissed her. Dulcie’s arms locked around his neck as he carried her to the bed, their mouths still fused in a kiss of such heat and passion that she whimpered.

7. From Lock – Sparrow’s mouth opened several times, but she couldn’t find the words to properly combat such an insult. Finally, she said, “You filthy, repulsive, vile, obnoxious–” Her words were silenced by his lips as he kissed her deeply, using his foot to drag her chair closer to his. One of his hands cupped the back of her head while the other grasped her waist and hauled her out of the chair and onto his lap. Overpowered by his strength, Sparrow could do nothing but straddle his legs and pray that she wouldn’t humiliate herself by giving in to the desire coursing through her entire body.

8. From Licking Fire – “I know what you’re trying to do,” he said, still speaking against her lips, “and it’s working.” He covered her mouth in a kiss so deep and passionate that Latara momentarily forgot where they were and the potential danger of their situation.

9. From Marriage in Moonlust – He took her face in his hands and touched his mouth to hers. His kiss remained chaste until he felt her relax beneath the soft, supple movement of his lips. One of his hands slid through her thick hair to caress the back of her neck while the other moved to her waist, pressing her gently to the length of his body.

10. From Menage a Tasia – Staff threaded his fingers through Drago’s hair, sending thrills of desire through him. The medic’s touch was sure, undoubtedly masculine but also tender. The kiss broke, leaving both men breathless. Their hot gazes locked and Staff smiled. “You really should be resting.”

11. From Moonlight on Water – His gaze moved across her face, lingering on her parted lips. He lowered his head and his mouth hovered over hers. Moonlight’s head pulled against his grip, inching closer to his mouth. For a moment, she thought he was going to shove her away again, then his mouth descended on hers. His dark blue lips felt surprisingly warm and moist. His tongue traced her lips, then thrust between them. Xenos loosened his hold on her hair. Cupping the back of her head, he pressed her face closer to his while his arm snaked around her waist, holding her to his long, powerful body. Moonlight moaned softly and locked her arms around his neck. Her eyes closed, she surrendered to him completely, drowning in his deep, intoxicating kiss. When it broke, she continued leaning heavily against him, almost dizzy with desire.

12. From Northman’s Passion – “I want a willing woman,” he said, his breath warm and enticing on her lips. Her hands tightened around his neck and she lifted her head the slightest bit, yet it was enough to touch her mouth fully to his. That was all the encouragement he needed. She might have initiated the kiss, but he took immediate control. His firm mouth claimed her, tender yet possessive. Bera closed her eyes and surrendered completely.

13. From Windswept – He bent and covered Parker’s mouth in what he’d meant to be a brief kiss. The doctor had other ideas. He grasped Jindra’s face and tugged him closer so that Jindra was forced to brace his hands against the floor.
