Good morning! Please welcome guest author Christina Phillips. Though I will be away for part of the day, please feel free to leave comments for Christina and I will post them as soon as I return. Thank you!

Hi Christina! Would you tell us about yourself?
Christina: Hi Kate! I’m an ex-pat Brit who now lives in sunny Western Australia. I have one husband, three kids, the most adorable baby grandson in the universe and three beautiful cats who believe, quite rightly, that the world revolves around them.
What are your favorite genres to read and write?
Christina: I absolutely love anything that has paranormal or fantasy elements interwoven with a gorgeous romance. Even as a child I much preferred books and TV shows that had a touch of the weirdness about them. I still vividly recall being totally addicted to Doctor Who as a five year old (even though I was either hiding behind the sofa or clutching a cushion to my face so the monsters couldn’t see me!) So, no romance there, but my love of the dark side began early!
Your new release Bloodlust Denied, features vampires (love them!). What attracts you to vampire heroes like Alexius?
Christina: I think it’s an extreme case of loving the bad boy hero J He’s world weary, cynical and is so sure he can never fall in love. What’s more delicious than watching a tough, immortal hero brought to his knees by his heroine?
Would you tell us about Bloodlust Denied?
Christina: I’ve always wanted to write a lush Regency Romance and a few years ago an idea came to me of a tortured Regency duke who had lost the only woman he had ever loved many years before. Well, once I started thinking more about the story I realised this was no ordinary duke and he hadn’t lost his beloved a handful of years ago. No, my twisted imagination turned my sexy duke into a very bad ass vampire indeed, and any sense of morality he had once possessed had died along with his wife over two thousand years before. In BLOODLUST DENIED Alexius meets Morana and despite himself is fascinated by the way she shows no fear of him. Unfortunately for Alexius, Morana is no ordinary human either – she’s a Maiden of Death, pledged to rid the world of vampires.
“I wanted to figure out what was going on and why the two had such fiery chemistry: their sex scenes (and they were frequent) leapt off the pages to tickle and entice in all the right places like a giant steam bath.” 4 Stars The Jeep Diva
What three words would Morana use to describe Alexius?
Christina: Arrogant, irresistible, intoxicating.
What three words would Alexius use to describe Morana?
Christina: Seductive, mesmerizing, infuriating.
Do you have an excerpt or link to an excerpt to share?
Christina: You can read Chapter One here – it’s a bit spicy, so for over 18s only!!
Where can readers purchase Bloodlust Denied?
Christina: Bloodlust Denied is at Ellora’s Cave Amazon ARe Amazon UK
What are you working on now?
Christina: At the moment I’m working on the second book in my Highland Warrior Chronicles. These books have been acquired by Ellora’s Cave and feature gorgeous Scot warriors and their brave Pictish princesses. The books are set in the ninth century during the turbulent time when both Scot and Viking coveted Pictland so there’s plenty of juicy conflict! I have the unedited blurb of the first book, HER SAVAGE SCOT, up on my website if you want a sneak peek.
Where can we visit you online?
Christina:
Thank you for being a guest, Christina!
Thanks so much for having me on your blog, Kate!
Blurb for BLOODLUST DENIED
Tired of the thin-blooded aristocrats in 1815 London, Alexius yearns for better sport. He is drawn to a dark-haired seductress who shows no fear and refuses to obey his commands. Entranced by such novelty, he denies his bloodlust and decides to keep her to warm his bed.
Immortal vampire hunter Morana has never mistaken her prey before, but the dark stranger mesmerizes her, enticing her to forget everything but the dangerous pleasure she finds in his arms.
Neither one can deny the pull of the other, but there is something beyond the lust—a recognition neither can put a name to. The past and present collide and unless they discover the truth behind the lies, Death will triumph once more.
Inside Scoop: Silk makes much softer shackles than iron, but is just as binding as our lovers engage in light BDSM sport with spanking and mild submission in this risqué Regency story.
