Araya’s Addiction Blurb
When Kean wakes up naked, collared and locked in a cell, he knows thinking with his dick has finally gotten him into trouble. Part Incubus, Kean enjoys scorching sexual liaisons, a habit that has found him trapped, forced to help a Sempire rescue her daughter from certain death.
Unwilling to aid in anyone’s imprisonment, Araya initially refuses her mother’s “gift”, but the passion simmering between her and Kean is undeniable. As they explore their shared lust, both Araya and Kean enact schemes to save each other. Their best laid plans may awaken emotions that will bind them forever.
*Note: A Sempire is a female demon who requires semen to survive.
Interview
When you’re brainstorming for a new story, what usually comes first for you, the plot or the characters?
Jocelyn: Characters always come first for me. They are the life of the story. When I’m reading, if a story has incredibly thin plot but has fun and interesting characters I care about, that’s fine with me. Of course, it’s best when you have compelling characters AND a great plot, but characters are what move me.
When you’re writing, who is more in control, you or your characters?
Jocelyn: Most of the time, my characters take control and that is fine with me. The writing flows better when they take the reins. Of course, sometimes I have to take over, otherwise everything would be all roses and puppy kisses – no conflict.
Can you write sex scenes at any time or do you have to be “in the mood?”
Jocelyn: I have a love/hate relationship with sex scenes. I love them when they flow easily. I hate them when they don’t. I think I have to be “in the mood”. Lately I’ve noticed that when I get to a sex scene, I’ll write “they sex it up” or “yay orgasms”, skip to the next scene and come back to write the sex at a later date. One time I wrote “blah blah sex”. Haha.
What do you like about writing series books?
Jocelyn: I think the best part about writing a series is that you get to revisit the characters from previous books. I love all of my characters – main, secondary, and villains – so it’s great to not have to say goodbye to them after one book.
What are you working on now?
Jocelyn: Sempire Seductions is the name of the series I’m working on now. Araya’s Addiction is Book 1 (available now). Valia’s Villain is Book 2 and Fin’s Fantasy is Book 3. Both have been accepted for publication. I’m just waiting on contract stuff and then my awesome editor and I can get into edits. I’m SUPER excited and can’t wait. I’m even considering a Book 4.
Would you give us a sneak peek at one of your upcoming releases?
Jocelyn: Here are a couple lines from Valia’s Villain (book 2, not yet released).
The hero: “I’m giving the orders, female. You’d do well to remember that. I am going to taste you now and when you come you will scream my name.”
The heroine: “Arrogant looks good on you.” She licked at his lips. “But if you want me to comply, you’ll have to tell me your name.”
Would you share a favorite quote from your latest hero, heroine or villain?
Jocelyn: This line, from Valia’s Villain, made me laugh. Valia says to the hero… “You’re a party pooper and kind of a dick.”
Where would you go on your dream vacation?
Jocelyn: Several places but one that sticks out in my mind is Turtle Island, Fiji. Look up some pictures on the internet. That’s my idea of paradise.

Reviews of Araya’s Addiction
Gaele @ The Jeep Diva:
…With several steamy to downright scorching scenes, clever dialogue, humor and the potential for a happy ever after, this was a really fun and clever read. Dex has created a new sexual demon, and made them lovable, if not a bit outrageous in their attitudes and thinking. The desires and emotions of the characters were easy to relate to as the characters were well-defined and voiced, a nice addition to this novella.
Anna @ Book Lovin’ Mamas:
…The chemistry between Araya and Kean was smokin’ hot and they were great individual characters too. And I LOVE the sister and Mom. They were quite entertaining! … Overall this was a great read! Lots of fun and very very sexy! I can’t wait to read something else from this author and I will be impatiently waiting for more! 😉
Diana @ Offbeat Vagabond
…Goodness gracious, this book should come with a warning. I swear even my ereader was heating up while reading this and it wasn’t even plugged in. I enjoyed the hell out of this. I think if you are like me and you are a fan of Larissa Ione’s books, you will love this. This was a super sexy read that will heat you up from head to toe.
