Good morning! Please welcome guest blogger Tracy A Ward. Though I will be away for most of the day, please feel free to leave comments for Tracy and I will post them as soon as I return. Thank you!

What are your favorite genres to read and write?
I am a huge fan of chick lit. I get a bad case of the shakes waiting for a new Marian Keyes to come out. My first romance love was historical, then paranormal, but I always return to contemporary.
When you’re not writing, what do you like to do?
I love the theater, movies and television. Anything with a great storyline is like soul food. I’m currently hooked on The Tudors. Breaking Bad will break my heart when it ends. Of course reading is another love. Coaching my daughter’s ten year old volleyball team is also a lot of fun. I also play in a women’s basketball league.
How long have you been writing?
When I was pregnant with my second (and last) child, I quit my corporate job. Stay at home mommyhood lost its shine pretty quick and I decided I had to do something for me. I finished my first book nearly seven years ago. It’s been patiently collecting dust ever since. J
To you what makes a great romance hero?
Nobody’s perfect. A great hero needs some flaws or he just isn’t believable. He also needs a good sense of humor, good looks and a great big…wallet.
To you what makes a great romance heroine?
Again we’ve gotta have flaws, and relatable ones. No matter how beautiful she is she must hate her thighs. She needs to be intelligent, strong, know when to give and when to take.
Do you have any particular writing habits?
I do my best writing either early in the morning, which is odd because I am NOT a morning person, or late at night. There’s something about a silent house that’s a breeding ground for creativity.
Where would you go on your dream vacation?
Anywhere with no responsibilities and preferably no kids would be ideal. I would love to go to Phair, Texas, the quaint little town in my novel, Fair Play. It’s a tourist town in the Hill Country, surrounded by wineries and it’s most popular tourist attraction is The Marshall Theater. I’d love to spend the day sipping wine, go to the theater for the latest play then have a night cap at the Double Shot bar.
Name three fictional characters (not your own) that you find hot. They can be from books, movies, or TV.
Raylan Givens from Justified. Sure he’s handsome, but he’s intelligent and just the right amount of smartass that makes him irresistible. Rhett Butler, Gone With the Wind. He’s the charming reluctant hero, always looking out for himself, but he just can’t turn away from Scarlett. Plus he’s loaded with flaws that make him all the hotter. Superman from Man of Steel, played by Henry Cavill. Need I say more?

Fair Play
Writing three plays for a nationally acclaimed theater in Phair, Texas, wasn’t supposed to put my inheritance at risk and force me into constant contact with Noah Blake–the very guy I love to hate. But with one chance to prove to my controlling father that I can succeed as a playwright, I’ve developed a major case of writer’s block.
Cue Noah, my older brother’s best friend and the guy I’ve avoided since my crush-gone-bad days. And now my director thinks he’s the key to unleashing my creativity. He thinks Noah is my muse.
Discovering the fate of the theater is also in my hands, I have no choice but to collaborate with my worst enemy. But it’s more than just a great scene Noah inspires. Now everything I thought I wanted is put to the test. And the guy I swore I was over still has a hold on my heart.
About the author:
After the birth of her children, Tracy had an epiphany: banking just wasn’t her thing. So she quit her corporate job, let her nanny go and became a not-so-desperate housewife by day, Sexy Women’s Fiction author by night. Her characters are every-day women, following their dreams, searching for that elusive happily ever after.
Growing up the youngest child of a freakishly large family in a small Midwestern town means she never lacks for ideas, inspiration, or moral dilemmas. Being the wife of a corporate attorney, mother of two young children, and living in a Dallas suburb provides unlimited insight into the rest.
In her spare time, Tracy is a chauffeur, a maid, a short-order cook, a coach, a psychic/intuitive who always finds what her husband loses, a yoga nut, a mango margarita connoisseur, and a really bad dancer. She’s currently contracted through Entangled Publishing’s Indulgence imprint.

Hello Tracy! Thanks for sharing with us today. It was great learning about you and your book! Enjoyed reading your answers! 😀
I totally agree with you about the silent house–and Superman! (Superman can answer just about any question, can’t he? ;))
Your book sounds great!
Thanks for stopping by ladies! It’s always fun to see familiar faces and make new friends.
Guess I should’ve added Charles Brandon, Duke of Sulfolk to the fictional characters list for a double-dose of Henry Cavill! Love him on The Tudors!
