Good morning! Please welcome guest author Theda Hudson. Though I will be away for most of the day, please feel free to leave comments for Theda and I will post them as soon as I return. Thank you!

What is one of your favorite things about writing?
You get to sit in a room and make shit up.
When you’re brainstorming for a new story, what usually comes first for you, the plot or the characters?
It depends. Sometimes the “what if”, sometimes, a character who seems really cool and is just standing there, you know like characters do in a video game, just bouncing on their feet and waiting for you to put them into action.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I want to be a pantser, but I do better when I plot, especially the try/fail cycles.
When you’re writing, who is more in control, you or your characters?
It’s a mutual creative tug of war, I think.
Can you write sex scenes at any time or do you have to be “in the mood?”
Just writing them gets me in the mood.
What do you like best about writing?
Finishing a story and knowing it works.
What is the most difficult thing about writing?
Putting all the pieces parts together and getting them to play nice.
What do you like about writing series books?
The long story. Lots of room to play.
What is one of your favorite ways to learn about your characters?
I do my version of the Hero’s Journey. They tell you all kinds of things. Of course, too, when you write something and then say, “Now why did I write that?” and then later it becomes apparent.
What do you feel are some of the pros and cons of epublishing?
Control, control, control. Then the cons are marketing and promotion (of course, you have to do that either path you take). I would rather be writing.
Where do you find inspiration for your stories?
Everywhere.
What do you like best about writing menage?
The tension, the worry that the characters will have issues, the issues they have, the figuring out how to solve them.
What do you like best about writing erotic romance?
I love sex and it gives me a chance to work out things people have told me about or I have seen or wondered about.
What are your favorite research resources?
Alternative Lifestyle Conventions like Thunder in the Mountains. The dungeon is a spectacle not to be missed.
What usually comes first for you, characters or plot?
Characters usually.
Do you find it harder to write novels or short stories?
They are both hard for different reasons.

The Lord of the Broken Tower
A broken tower, a burning desire, a buried mystery…
When the Hegemony offers Della Cruz a job managing a manufactory on another planet, she leaves her volcano-destroyed home to take it. When she arrives she learns the handsome leader of the colony, Lord Ashdon Carlizo, lives in a broken tower and no one will talk about how it came to be damaged or why everyone holds such a long-lived anger toward the Hegemony.
From their first meeting, the sexy Carlizo courts her relentlessly and, when Della discovers the manufactory needs far more work than the recruiter described, she begins to wonder exactly why the Hegemony wanted her for the job. Despite her sizzling attraction to him, Della resists, believing a relationship with the lord would damage her credibility and position as a Hegemony agent. But the broken tower haunts her dreams, and her desire for Carlizo pulls her irresistibly into the heart of the mystery of the broken tower and the lord’s past.
What are you working on now?
A trio of women who go to a sex convention and each discover her own path through three books.
Do you have an excerpt from your latest release you would like to share?
Lord Ashdon Carlizo was even better-looking in person. And his air of confidence was more intense. An appreciative smile ghosted about his full lips and she offered a shy quirk in answer. His strong jaw was clean shaven, his high brow smooth and tanned from his time in the sun. His cheekbones accented his green eyes, which caught the light from the oil lamps.
She watched his bright green eyes devour her and smiled a little in amusement. Nothing like being blatant. She’d swear she saw him wink, but that could have been the light or just a blink.
Her belly clenched and her pussy swelled up against the silky panties as she noted his tight, strong body. He wore a fine linen shirt covered by an embroidered woolen surcoat, and velvet breeches that fit him well. Della pulled her eyes up and away from the bulge in the velvet, her hand twitching with a desire to stroke the soft material and trace the shape of the mound under it. The clothes took advantage of his physique to fit his clothing well. Probably tailored for him by the women in the tower. A moment’s envy for those women’s intimacy washed over her.
Then she remembered the project file had said he was involved in the farming endeavors of township. She wondered if he stripped down to his breeches and worked in the fields.
She’d like to see that and for a moment she was lost in the image of him working under the sun, muscles sliding under sweaty skinburnished by the sun.
The heel of one impossibly high heel caught in a grout line and she was yanked back to the present, jerking ungracefully as she tried to regain her balance.
Lord Carlizo caught her by the hand and steadied her, amusement flashing across his face before he composed a concerned gaze.
“Are you all right? I made warranties to the Hegemony regarding your safety. It would be most unseemly if you broke an ankle wearing shoes that I provided for dinner.”
She flushed, embarrassed to have tripped and be the butt of his joke. “I’m fine, thank you, Lord Carlizo. I’m just not used to such heels.” The honorific flowed right and natural from her mouth and she savored the thrill they gave her to say them.
“But they look good on you.” He glanced down at her feet again and she had a quick image of her falling to her knees, arms crossed behind her back as she awaited his pleasure.
“Thank you, my lord.” My lord? Was that correct? It felt correct. He did own the manufactory and she was there to work under him. And, it felt good to say the words.
He still held her hand; she felt its strength. Her pussy shivered with another drum beat of heat and she had to push away the thought of him laying her naked on the long dining room table, using his hands to take possession her.
Those brilliant eyes bored into hers, searching for what? He looked her up and down. Was he assessing her to see if she could do the job the Hegemony had sent her for? Or measuring her for the table?
His face was confident, his body graceful and strong. He was handsome and she wanted him, as much for his body as for the power he owned and wielded. Impossible, she thought. You are a representative of the Hegemony, and your job is to bring the manufactory back online and deliver the grants and supplies, not to play the wanton with the colony leader.
But what a wanton she could be for him.

From Bottoming Out
“Stand and turn a quarter to your left,” Master Fallon said. “Take the position I first showed you.”
Kitty obeyed, closing her eyes to concentrate on the sensations. He stood behind her, letting the flogger’s falls brush over her breasts, her belly, her neck. She couldn’t help moaning as the leather whispered over her flesh.
When he offered the dildo handle at her mouth, she took the cool smoothness without question, imagining it was Master Fallon’s cock. He let her go at her own pace and she worked it with a will, licking and tonguing the smooth glass.
“Ah, you excite me, Kitty. I wish it was my cock in your lovely mouth. Do you wish it, too? Is that what you’re thinking of?”
A shiver of pleasure wracked her body, shooting straight to her pussy and igniting a burning ember that his proximity fanned.
“Yes, sir. I was. I do. I am.”
He chuckled low and close to her ear. His breath puffed on her ear, blowing strands of hair that tickled her neck.
