What is one of your favorite things about writing?
Letting my mind get engrossed in a story to where it feels real.
When you’re brainstorming for a new story, what usually comes first for you, the plot or the characters?
I guess the characters. Then the plot takes form.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I am a pantser. I write in scenes then put them together like a puzzle.
When you’re writing, who is more in control, you or your characters?
Oh, my characters. They do things I never think of. Like one decided to take his date sailing. I am WTF! I don’t know how to sail. But I figured it out.
Can you write sex scenes at any time or do you have to be “in the mood?”
My sex scenes happen because my couple has reached that part of the relationship, so writing a sex scene is natural.
What do you like best about writing?
Having a story start in my head, then building the story.
What is the most difficult thing about writing?
Not getting ahead of myself in a story.
What is one of your favor ways to learn about your characters?
They tell me who they are.
What do you feel are some of the pros and cons of epublishing?
The pros-It gives writers a chance to get their stories out there. Cons-the market is getting flooded, harder to get your book noticed.
Where do you find inspiration for your stories?
Many of my stories are actually dreams. I wake up and I have this story, played out in my head. Music also sparks scenes.
What are your favorite research resources?
Internet. I love doing research while I sit at home at my computer.
What usually comes first for you, characters or plot?
Characters always start the story. I know the end of my story before the beginning. I just have to figure out how to get them there.
Do you find it harder to write novels or short stories?
Short stories. I like writing novellas for busy women with little time to commit to a novel.
Would you tell us about your latest release?
Becca’s Dance, published by Idyllic Ink is about a first love rekindled.
What are you working on now?
The final edits for Becca’s Dance. It should be released in April 2014 as an ebook, August 2014 in print.
Do you have an excerpt from your latest release you would like to share?
The journey of life is not about the path traveled, but the dance.
What three words would the hero of your story use to describe his love interest?
Love of his life.
What three words would the heroine of your story use to describe her love interest?
Her only love.

Clay Lester is a good hard-working man full of sex appeal with a dynamitic bod!
Do you have a favorite character or characters you feel especially close to?
From Becca’s Dance-Jilley. She was the most fun to write.

The book cover for Becca’s Dance portrays the feeling of the story. The publisher did an awesome job.

Do you prefer writing your heroes, your heroines or do you like writing both equally?
I enjoy writing both.
If you were a shapeshifter and could become any one item owned by your latest romance hero (or heroine), what would it be?
Clay’s truck.
If you could step into one of your books, which one would it be?
Becca’s Dance. I have an overwhelming desire to live in a lake community.

I am a former middle school librarian who always had stories in her head and decided to start writing them down.
What are your favorite genres to read and write?
I love to read a good mystery. I love to write a good love story.

When you’re not writing, what do you like to do?
Seriously, since I became a full time writer I need a hobby.
How long have you been writing?
Somewhere between a few years and all my life.

A man that gets to know his woman and allows her to be herself.
To you what makes a great romance heroine?
A woman that knows her desires and wants and releases her inter beauty.
Do you have any particular writing habits? (Listening to music, best time of day to write, etc.)
I get up about 7:00 am, fix my coffee, sit down and write. I usually write for two or three hours before I get on social media. Then I spend the rest of the day working on writing projects. My life is pretty well consumed with writing.
Where would you go on your dream vacation?
Greece.

Fall. It’s warm, not hot, not cold, and colorful.
What book are you currently reading?
I just finished a series on Selkies by Sophie Moss. I fell in love with the legend years ago after ready a picture book by Jane Yolan.
What is the last movie you watched?
The remake of The Great Gatsby.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Chocolate Cake

I have an overactive mixed terrier, Bella and a shy calico cat, Cora. Both are Pound Pets.
