Author Name: Dena Garson
The hero or heroine in your latest book is asked to decorate for a Halloween party. What does he/she use?
A little bit of everything! Fake spider webs, faux tombstones, a fog machine, candles, door covers and signs. And don’t forget the witch’s broom and cauldron!
What is your favorite Halloween or autumn decoration?
Twinkle lights. I love them at Christmas AND Halloween. Only my Halloween lights are either orange or purple.

Blurb:
Jeanie’s lousy boss has sent her on yet another business trip. At least this one has a bonus—she gets to work with “Steve the Stud”, the office hottie who makes all the women weak-kneed, for the whole week. When she finds him to be smart and fun as well, she has no clue how she’ll finish the trip while staying professional.
Steve got burned the last time he dated a coworker and has vowed to never put himself in that position again, no matter how much he can’t stop thinking about Jeanie and her freckles. When Jeanie finds evidence of fraud, Steve works more closely with her than he imagined. It’ll take all his control to maintain his promise while Jeanie struggles with an ethical dilemma.
A Blush® contemporary romance from Ellora’s Cave.
Excerpt:
“You’re looking at those boxes the same way I look at turnips,” Jeanie pointed out.
Some of the tension that had been building in his shoulders eased and Steve laughed. “If you like turnips as much as I do, then you’re probably right.” He stepped around the pile he had been looking at with disgust.
Jeanie’s smiling face was a welcome distraction.
“Everything going okay?” Her brow was furrowed in concern.
“Yeah.” He pointed at the boxes stacked around the room, packing the area so full that he could barely breathe much less move. “Once I figure out how they have everything filed, I’ll be good to go.”
“Is there a filing system or is everything just crammed in here?” Her eyes darted around the tiny room.
“I’m betting the latter,” he said regretfully.
“Oh, wow. I hope none of these are accounting records.”
“I’m afraid you may not get your wish.” He flipped the lid back onto one of the boxes he had been looking in. “So, what brings you to the seventh level of hell?”
She laughed. Once again he was captivated by the way her face lit up. He was tempted to crack a joke just to see it again.
“Actually, I was just checking to see how it was going with you and if you were by chance ready to go.”
Steve looked at his watch. It was a little after five. “Well, I’m not making as much progress as I’d like since the lady who does all their filing is out today.”
“If you need to stay and work on something, I can wait. I was just hoping we could get to the hotel early so I could get off my feet.”
He glanced down. Several pink toes peeked out from under her pant legs.
“I, uh… I made the mistake of wearing high heels instead of flats.” She dangled her shoes from her fingertips. “After hiking through three airports and then touring the facility, I’m afraid my feet are not happy with me.”
He was struck dumb by how sexy her toes were.
“Seriously, though, if you have something you need to finish up, I can find somewhere to kick my feet up and check email or something.”
“Oh. No,” he stuttered. “It’s fine. We can leave. I just need to grab my briefcase and jacket.”
Relief showed on her face.
“Can I have the car keys before you do that? I’d really like to get off my feet,” she whimpered.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, just a poor choice of shoes for the first day.” She smiled sheepishly. “I should have known better.”
Steve fished the keys out of his pocket then leaned closer to Jeanie. “That’s why I always save my pumps for the middle of the week.” With a wink he pressed the keys into Jeanie’s hand.

Social
We covered my boss’ chair with fake spider webs one year. The stuff was itchy and made me sneeze but the end result was well worth it.
Enjoyed the excerpt and look forward in reading more.
