When you’re writing, who is more in control, you or your characters?
That’s a hard question. I like to think I’m more in control. However, there have been many times when I’m working along without thinking too deeply about a plot thread or character when BAM whatever I was having trouble with comes together so much better than I’d hoped. So I’d like to think I share control with the characters. I come up with plans but I’ve learned not to stifle the characters.
What do you like about writing series books?
The thing I love most about writing series books is I can revisit the same couples as much as I’d like. For instance with my Cry Wolf series, Mia and Ethan are the main characters in books 1 and 3, then Jacob and Kelly are the main characters in book 2 but they also play a smaller role in 3.
Would you tell us about your latest release?
My latest release is the second book in the Hacked Investigations series. It’s a re-release called Savage Bytes. It’s about Hannah, a private investigator, and her hacker boyfriend, Ian, who help their friend at the hospital solve a crime that’s baffled even the police where the victims are having their organs stolen. They’ll have to work together or they could become the killer’s prey.
Do you prefer writing your heroes, your heroines or do you like writing both equally?
I enjoy writing my heroes and heroines equally. They each have their rewards and fun points.

If you could be any kind of shapeshifter, what kind would you be?
That’s a tough question because my first thought is wolf or wereleopard. However, I’d love to fly so I could travel more and cheaply, so maybe a shapeshifter that can transform into multiple forms.
What is your favorite season?
My favorite season is winter because I love snow and cold weather. Sadly, it’s been a while since I’ve seen snow.
