What is the most difficult thing about writing?
The marketing. Without a doubt.
Where do you find inspiration for your stories?
Daily life, but mainly my holidays. I usually start a book whenever we’re away and I’m in love with the scenery. Voila, that’s when I dream away about the characters and a story is born.
Would you tell us about your latest release?
My latest release is the third book in the Australian Sports Stars series, “I think I love you”.
It’s a story about a long lasting friendship and the consequences when taking it further. I loved writing the characters with their struggle to make a decision and life throwing them obstacles in the way as well.
What are you working on now?
We went to a beautiful place in South Australia last year… I loved it so much that I created “Fermosa Bay”, hometown of friends Connor, Ethan, and Niall. It’s, again, about friendship and family, something very dear to me.
I finished the first book and hope to submit it soon.
Do you have an excerpt from your latest release you would like to share?
From “I think I love you”:
“You sure this is what you want?” he asked.
Unable to speak, she nodded. It was everything she wanted tonight. Tomorrow would be another day, and she’d deal with it then. This was today and today she wanted to feel. Wanted to touch him. And wanted to be loved.
She knew Markus wouldn’t hurt her.
“Yes, I’m sure,” she answered.
“I’ll ruin you for all other men to come,” he said against her skin. “You sure you wanna make that sacrifice?”
He was teasing her. Sarah looked up and saw his eyes lit with mischief. “Just get on with it,” she replied.
Markus nipped her ear. “What if your mother finds out? She’ll send me to hell and back.”
Placing her hand on his hard chest, she pushed him away. “No wonder you haven’t been with a girl for a long time. Your foreplay sucks, Marky.”
A bark of laughter filled the room.
“You’re such an ass. Honestly.”
He shrugged. “Baby, I just wanna make certain this is what you want.”
Studying him, she still couldn’t get past how sexy he looked.
Damn him.
Would you give us a sneak peek at one of your upcoming releases?
From my current WIP “Echoes of the past”:
Connor leaned against the window frame with his arms crossed as he watched the waves crashing against the rocks. In front of him, as wide as the horizon, was the ocean. With the clouds drifting in from the sea, the sky had turned grey and dark, and he knew there’d be even more rain coming later in the day.
He would’ve enjoyed the scene if it hadn’t reminded him of his current changing life. He’d been back in Fermosa Bay for two days already, but the memories of the first seven years of his life he’d spent in this small Australian coastal town were tucked away in the back of his mind. Seemingly inaccessible. Nowadays, his life was in London and had been for the last twenty-three years. He took a couple of deep breaths as he looked towards the harbour in the distance, and the small town in the alcove with the hilly forest in the background. It was truly one very picturesque little place.
A noise from the other end of the house hauled him back from his thoughts, and he stepped away from the window. Over the last few weeks, since he’d decided to accept Jack’s invitation to Australia, he’d had visions of what to find here. His mother hadn’t told him much, except about Jack owning a pub. He’d been furious for her lack of memory, but in the end admitted to himself that it’d probably not been a time she’d like to remember.
So he was surprised to find out, Jack lived in this massive house just outside Fermosa Bay, on the top of the cliffs, with a view over the ocean. The house had five rooms and a small study at the back. The lounge room, with the high-pitched ceiling, had wood fire heating and a big window front. Connor had loved the house the instant he’d stepped into it.
When he entered the hall, he saw his father and said, “Good morning, Jack.”
The old man sighed sadly. “You still can’t bring it over your heart to call me dad?”
Would you tell us about yourself?
I was born and raised in Germany, moving to Australia just short of 19 years ago. It seems like a long time ago, but I suppose time flies when you have fun.
I’ve been writing books for a little over six years now. It wasn’t something I always wanted to do, because not only didn’t I see myself as a writer, but writing in a second language can be a challenge.
But I’m a daydreamer… that’s exactly what I put onto paper, and I’ve been humbled by the little success I’ve been having with my few books.

Where would you go on your dream vacation?
It sounds corny, but I live in the country of my dreams. Australia has so many beautiful spots, I’m so lucky to call it my home nowadays.
But we travelled through a few states in the US a couple of years ago, and I have to say, I hope I will be able to come back one day. It’s such a beautiful country as well.
