Where are you from?
Winterhurst, a medium-size agricultural town sprawled along the river Wye. I didn’t find out where I belonged, until I left the orphanage I grew up in.
What is your job?
I found out I’m a necromancer when I returned home and raised my father’s spirit.
Are you a people person or a lone wolf?
I love my friends dearly, but I need my alone time to recuperate and re-centre.
Do you have any special powers or skills?
I’m a necromancer, I can communicate with the dead, and in some circumstances I can raise spirits. But my mother was an earth witch so I have some limited abilities to heal, perhaps I’ve inherited more skills from her that I’m yet to discover.
What is your main goal in life?
I have to maintain and earn a living from my ancestral home, Ravenswood. I need it to nurture my talents with the undead, and keep my independence. Unfortunately I’m not the only one that wants to control Ravenswood.
Do you or did you ever have a mentor?
Nightwing, my beautiful Raven was my first spirit guide. Purah was my first tutor in the ways of necromancy.
Who is your greatest enemy and why?
Anyone who wants to control Ravenswood is my enemy. Boyce Westall, the mayor of Winterhurst wanted my magnificent library of magic books, he was prepared to kill me to get it. My ancestor Quintus Mundy built Ravenswood 200 years ago and he wants it back, he’ll do anything to get it.
Who is your closest friend?
Rose from the orphanage, and Evie, the first spirit I ever raised from Winterhurst Cemetery.
Who is your love interest?
Glynn Buckley, the handsome and intriguing captain of police at Winterhurst.
What is your favorite thing about Glynn?
He’s brave and compassionate, and loyal to the people he cares about.
What makes Glynn sexy?
His eyes, the way he concentrates on what I’m saying is if I’m the most important person in the world, his taut body and the way he moves with purpose and authority.
What is the most annoying thing about Glynn?
He treats me like a kid sometimes!
Describe Glynn in three words.
Handsome, courageous, kind.
What was the last gift you gave Glynn?
I’ve not given him a gift… Yet.
Where would you take Glynn on a dream vacation?
To a seaside resort, where it’s warm but not too hot, where the dead stay politely in their graves.
Do you have a secret fantasy?
Not yet!
Describe yourself in three words.
Tenacious, determined, compassionate.
Do you have pets?
My imp, Lyken. And my Dragon, Aymon.
Share a favorite memory.
Walking with Glynn by the river, picking wildflowers and kissing under the birch trees.
What is your favorite food?
Lentil burgers, with Lyken’s amazing home-made bread.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Gypsy guitar, love ballads, anything with a beat to dance to.
What is your favorite way to travel?
By Dragon!
Name one piece of clothing you wouldn’t want to live without.
My jeans. I’d never wore anything but my orphanage tunic until Purah gave me my first pair of jeans shortly after saving my life at the old stone. I rarely wear anything else now.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Nightwing once told me, my past had made me who I am today, but my choices would determine my future.
If you could give your past self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
What is your idea of a perfect date?
Music, soft lights, just my man and me.
What makes you happy?
Justice, fairness, people doing the right things for the right reasons, even when it’s hard.
What makes you angry?
Selfishness, cruelty.
How do you like to spend your free time?
Reading, practising my skills, just being in the same place and time as Glynn.
Do you prefer one lover or multiple lovers?
One man to love and be loved by.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Probably take on a much stronger necromancer in a cemetery full of dead people he was determined to control and use against me.
Do you have any tattoos or piercings?
No.
