What is one of your favorite things about writing?
Creating a whole new world where I get to control things.
When you’re brainstorming for a new story, what usually comes first for you, the plot or the characters?
The plot. I’m definitely a plot-driven writer. The characters are second.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I used to be a pantser, but am now a plotter. I use Save the Cat. I just pulled up one I did several years ago and can now finish the book easily because I know what I was thinking at the time because of the outline.
Can you write sex scenes at any time or do you have to be “in the mood?”
I have to be in the mood.
What do you feel are some of the pros and cons of electronic publishing (instead of traditional print format)?
I LOVE my kindle. I can be anywhere with WiFi and buy a book. Usually I’m in my bed at night and have just finished reading a book. If I’m all out, I can buy one right there without ever having to leave my bed. That is so cool.
What do you feel are some of the pros and cons of indie publishing?
The hardest part for me is something that affects an author whether indie or traditionally published. I’m no good at marketing. I can juggle everything else attached to indie publishing. I’m organized, but I can’t seem to find that sweet spot when it comes to marketing.
Would you tell us about your latest release?
I have Incendiary on sale right now for 99 cents. It’s about a firefighter and his ex-lover who are trying to clear him of arson charges. There’s all that chemistry from their past relationship mucking up the works of them trying to solve the crime. It has a special place in my heart.
What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on another installment in my Angels Down the Shore Series. A group of people dubbed the Apocalypse Seekers are trying to bring about the destruction of the Earth. A series of angels will come down from Heaven to battle them. Of course the angels fall in love with humans. The latest one is the guardian angel of a guy who runs a surf shop. She falls in love with him.
Would you tell us about yourself?
Chris Redding lives in New Jersey with her husband, two kids, and a show rabbit. She graduated from Penn State with a degree in Journalism and is still a diehard Nittany Lions fan. Her books are filled with romance, suspense and thrills. When she isn’t writing, she likes to run and color.
What are your favorite genres to read and write?
I write mainly romantic suspense. I love all the plots and subplots you have can have going on. If there is only story, I get bored.

I love to color and love this new trend in adult coloring books. I’m also a runner. Not hardcore, but I do enjoy it.
Name three fictional characters (not your own) that you find hot. They can be from books, movies, or TV.
Lucifer Morningstar from Lucifer. Adam Jones from Burnt. It’s Bradley Cooper and he speaks French in the movie. Enough said. Dean Winchester. I don’t even have to explain that one.
If you could be any kind of shapeshifter, what kind would you be?
House cat. So I can nap at any moment.
What book are you currently reading?

What is your favorite comfort food?
Macaroni and cheese.
Do you have any pets?
