I’m a product of the streets of Los Angeles.
What is your job?
I’m a Detective with the Central Los Angeles Police Department.
Are you a people person or a lone wolf?
Keeping to myself has become a way of life with me. I don’t have time for small talk.
Do you have any special powers or skills?
I’m like a dog with a bone when it comes to solving a case.
What is your main goal in life?
To find my brother’s killer. He was shot by a drive-by shooter when I was twelve and he was sixteen.
Do you or did you ever have a mentor?
Not by choice, but one of my coworkers has decided I need mentoring.
Who is your greatest enemy and why?
I’m hot on the trail of anyone who breaks the law.
Who is your closest friend?
I don’t have time for friends.
Who is your love interest?
Until recently I didn’t have time for a love interest, but have decided to make time for Allison Marble, the woman who has been driving me nuts all weekend.
What is your favorite thing about Allison?
If she thinks I’m wrong she gets right in my face to tell me so.
What makes Allison sexy?
The sway of her hips. The way she refuses to back down when I make her angry. Her smile. Making love with Allison will likely curl my toes, but I an’t wait to find out if it does.
What is the most annoying thing about Allison?
She’s too independent, thinks she can take care of herself. She can’t, tough, not when a determined drug runner is desperately trying to retrieve the bag of cash he left with her. How can I possibly keep her safe if she won’t listen?
Describe Allison in three words.
Hot. Self-confident. Desirable.
What was the last gift you gave Allison?
A good bottle of wine.
Where would you take Allison on a dream vacation?
Somewhere like Maui where I could take her hiking, then show her off in a bikini.
Do you have a secret fantasy?
Life’s too short to fantasize.
Describe yourself in three words.
Altruistic. Conscientious. Alpha. Allison pointed out that last one.
Do you have pets?
I adopted a cat, or rather Snookums adopted me, but I’m letting my Mom keep her because in my line of work I keep crazy hours.
Share a favorite memory.
Mom and Dad and my two brothers all gathered around the dinner table with me before all the bad things started happening to them.
What is your favorite food?
Mom’s pasta frizzoli and tiramisu.
What kind of music do you listen to?
In my down time? Violin concertos.
What is your favorite way to travel?
Not that I get to go a lot, but prefer to go by car.
Name one piece of clothing you wouldn’t want to live without.
Well-worn jeans.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
My father had an innate sense of goodness. It wasn’t what he said, but how he lived that I’ve tried to emulate.
If you could give your past self a piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t take yourself so seriously.
What is your idea of a perfect date?
Any date with Allison would be a perfect date.
What makes you happy?
Allison.
What makes you angry?
Allison! She refuses to listen when I tell her what to do!
How do you like to spend your free time?
What free time? I’d love to go fishing. My dad promised one day he’d take me. Then he was killed.
Do you prefer one lover or multiple lovers?
One love, Allison.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Run from bullies, when I was eight.

Hi, everyone, and thank you Kate for having me. Love your website.
Lying Eyes is a light romantic suspense and was fun to write. My characters stood toe-to-toe and duked it out throughout the book, but that’s what two strong characters do.
