What are your favorite genres to read and write?
I love all speculative fiction and romance. Happily, today’s market offers a lot of books that combine the two! I am currently reading a great deal of SFR and really loving it. I write both SFR and Urban Fantasy as well as speculative Romance. Anything with imaginative worlds, unusual characters and a healthy dose of old fashioned romance keeps my interest and my fingers typing.
To you what type of hero/heroine is the hottest?
I like a hero with a little touch of danger about him. Mystery, a secret brewing just under the surface, a touch of the scoundrel…but I’m an absolute devotee of the good guy at heart. Sometimes you just have to dig a little deeper than others.
When writing, do you have full control of your characters, or at some point do they seem to take on a life of their own?
I’m terrible about control. My characters know I’m a sucker for them, and they tend to run circles around me. I pull the reins every once in awhile to keep them on track, but the surprising things they do, and the little twists they add on their own are my favorite parts of any story.
Share one of the sexiest or romantic lines from one of your books.
Oh, there’s a scene in my short story, Complicated Cargo, where the hero has the protagonist sort of backed up against the door… She can get away, mind you, but she hasn’t decided if she wants to or not. He leans down as tells her not to worry, he won’t bite her again. She relaxes for a second before he adds, “until you ask me too.” Sigh. I just loved writing him.
Please tell us about your latest release?
I have two releases back to back for the holidays, and I’m so excited about both of them. Dimensional Shift is an SFR about a maid who ends up working in a hotel for interdimensional travelers. It’s light and funny and a ton of fun. My Yule romance, Lords of Oak and Holly, is coming out Dec. 15th and it features a down on her luck ice sculptor who accidentally takes a job for the Prince of Winter. That one is a sweet love story and a nice holiday treat!

And as her host’s icy exterior begins to melt away, Maris finds there is far more to him than meets the eye, and his attentions leave her wishing this particular job could last forever.
But when Brayce’s family arrives for the holiday, Maris is plunged head over heels into a world of secrets and an age old conflict between brothers.

Giving “housekeeping” a whole new dimension…
Chloe came to the Three Lakes area for the peace and quiet. She happily abandoned the world of retail management, suits and promotions to work as a hotel maid catering to the local tourists. Until Andrew Paige showed up—a suit of the worst kind, the kind that makes her knees tremble. When Andrew offers her a job at his hotel, Chloe is hell bent on resisting, but the Dimensional Shift is no ordinary hotel, and Chloe is immediately tossed into the world of inter-dimensional tourists, their odd accommodations, and a string of thefts that threaten to ruin her chances at romance.
While learning the ropes, dealing with the Shift’s unusual guests, and trying to determine if the boss’ interest in her is strictly professional, Chloe uncovers a plot to steal the hotel’s dimensional keys. With the help of the town gossip, her alien abductee neighbor, and her new invisible best friend, Chloe confronts an inter-dimensional crime ring and a host of complications that make romancing the boss look like the least of her troubles.
