Hi everyone I’ve just got to tell you I am so very new to this whole blogging thing; so you can imagine how immensely grateful I am to Kate for kindly giving me some hints as to what to write in this piece.
Firstly my inspiration for writing Nichasin and Siobhan’s story; that’s a tricky one, I suppose I could let one phase answer for me ‘Flawed Heroes’. But I know I should elaborate a little further, so I will tell you of a series of books that I read years ago. It was actually a series owned by my mother, a historical romance called ‘Angélique’ the Marquise of the Angels, by Anne and Serge Golon.
I know there has been a lot of very, very, popular erotic romance written since. The more recent ones making the Angélique books look mild by comparison. However, I was enthralled by the emotional relationship between the protagonist and her Marquis. The oddness and dark in Jeoffrey de Peyrac was fascinatingly different, and downright seductive. As a reader I wanted to be Angélique, and have him. That was pretty heavy emotional ‘Buy-in’.
In truth, neither the story between the pages of ‘The Ecstasy Code ‘or its characters in any manner resemble Anne Golon’s books.
Now it comes to my book; here is a short excerpt I hope you like it.

Nichasin Stephain is broodingly sexy, stunningly hot ‘Lustfuel’.
Siobhan is a twenty year old blonde ‘Surfer Honey’.
One-handed, he cups my chin, lifts my face. His eyes harden to a steel-trap stare. Mine are hopeless, uncertain.
I need; my need is beyond painful—I’m lost in my need.
He brushes a tendril of damp, curling hair off of my face, tracking his free hand down between my breasts, the pads of his fingers skim me; flashback incoming—I see the two of us kneeling naked on the darkened levee bank locked in sumata frottage, a natural and creative touch and slide of bodies … a breath away from penetration. Our bodies are greased, metal-clasped and steelband lashed together.
Oh, keep your eyes on me, Nic—oh, please, please read the words in my head:
Nikki, if these are the shackles of love, then tighten them—don’t go easy on me.
I throw back my head, and my voiceless scream is of talents yet to be unleashed and things unsaid, the unfolding of promises a slightly brazen good girl makes to her alpha bad boy—in bed.
“—Softness, of all the hypnotic suggestions I’ve ever instilled in anyone’s mind, this one tears at me the most because it’s a clear show of my desperation—”
I can’t get a handle on this particular flashback; it’s different. I feel a profound sense of distance envelop me. And I swear I heard Nichasin answer me with his soft words—but they made no sense. Now his urgent kisses are completely anesthetizing my mind. My pulse races; in contrast, all my senses swim, seemingly drugged and defiantly sluggish. Nikki’s firm lips continue their intimate sesh; exploring the oh so thrill-sensitive skin of my arched throat. Then he simply snaps me into the moment, back into reality.
That was no flashback. It was one of his hastily staged hypnotic handshakes …
Finally I can speak. “Nic, you threw me. Why didn’t you ask permission?”
“My apologies, I have no excuse. I should have asked.”

Author Bio
I’m a wife a mother and an imaginist. I love to travel and have lived the world over. Because of this, the characters in my books live out their pain; their crimes; their fantasies; and their sensual eccentricities in the many corners of our planet. The first wave of Nichasin and Siobhan’s story tantalizes from New Orleans, a city I adore. That being so I couldn’t resist making the Crescent City the background for my intrepid lovers to live their life of— Grand Passion.
