Erotic Paranormal Romance, St. Patrick’s Day
Excerpt:
“So what did you expect me to do? Pretend I didn’t notice some guy hassling you? Is that the kind of person you want in your life, whether friend or–”
“Or what?” she asked, staring at him.
“I think you know what, Cait.”
They had reached her car and stood in front of it.
“I do,” she admitted. “But I’d like to hear it.”
He studied her carefully, noting her pretty face, the smoldering look in her blue eyes and the way her full lips were slightly parted–so inviting. Even if they gave this a shot and it fizzled, she worked in the tower and he in the dungeon. They’d never have to see each other, except in passing. They wouldn’t have to deal with the intimacy of a typical office romance.
“I’m better with numbers than words,” he admitted. “Can I show you instead?”
“Whatever works for you.”
“The question is, Cait, does this work for you?” He stepped toward her, grasped her waist and lifted her onto the car bonnet while his mouth claimed hers in a kiss. He made it firm, but not pushy. Soft, but with underlying strength. Lucas hoped she’d respond well to it.
She slipped her arms around his neck and wrapped her legs around his waist to hold him even closer. Lucas groaned softly and cupped the back of her head. Her hair was as soft and satiny as he had imagined. It slid through his fingers and her scent teased his nose. Cait’s long eyelashes tickled him and she opened her lips to his gently searching tongue.
When the kiss broke, he said, “Does that answer your question?”
