Where are you from?
My family are old school vampires from the South. I moved to Unakite City to get away from them. They despised me because I love women—if they could see me now. Ha! Anyway, I knew I needed to get out of there, so I left to attend college in Unakite City. Ditched my given name, too. Would you believe they used to call me Rita Ann? Do I even look like a Rita Ann?
What’s your job?
I work in an adult novelty store. I sell and model lingerie, and occasionally demonstrate the other products. It pays well, and it’s convenient in terms of it being a night job. My boss gets on my last nerve on a regular basis. But he’s a smart man, so he’s a little afraid of me.
What’s your main goal in life?
Right now, it’s to keep my family safe. My partner’s step-father is a bigwig in the Vampire Nation and his people are after us. Don’t ask me why. If I told you, I’d have to…well, you know the rest.
Who is your closest friend?
My partner, Jewell. We’ve been friends since college.
Who is your love interest?
Same answer: My partner, Jewell. Since the night we met, I haven’t left her side. She is the best part of my life.
What’s your favorite thing about Jewell?
It’s hard to pick a favorite. We have a lot of fun together going to concerts. And she’s kind and loving and sensitive and trusting…and vulnerable. I protect her. I will always keep her safe.
What’s the most annoying thing about Jewell?
That’s easy. She doesn’t do what I think she should do. She continues to talk to her ridiculous family. She puts up with Cheyenne’s antics. Who’s Cheyenne, you ask? Our incubus boyfriend and the father of our children.
Do you have a secret fantasy?
I suppose. I wish Jewell and Cheyenne and I could all be together, raising our children and loving one another. But incubi and vampires are not permitted to associate. Not that it matters. Jewell and I can’t stay in one place for too long. And we won’t let the mess we’ve made put Cheyenne or our kids in danger.
Describe yourself in three words.
Loyal. Protective. I’ve been called ruthless, but I prefer the term “practical”.
Do you have pets?
Yes, my little incubus puppy, Cheyenne. Totally untrainable but he’s ours. And we love him.
What kind of music do you listen to?
Cheyenne’s. Once you’ve heard the best, the rest are hard to tolerate.
Name one piece of clothing you wouldn’t want to live without?
My stilettos. I like being tall.
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
Fall in love with an incubus, the vampire’s mortal enemy. It doesn’t help that he’s also the son of their leader. Seriously, what the hell was I thinking?
Thanks for having me on your blog. Just don’t tell anyone how you found me.

Living After Midnight Series
Improbable love. Impossible life. Immeasurable danger.
Jewell’s stepfather thinks she’s worthless. She agrees. When she looks in the mirror she sees an overweight, overemotional, overeating mess who can’t keep her fangs to herself.
Ria hails from a family of old world vamps who’d be happy to share their wealth with her, if only she’d fall in line. Fat chance, especially since being in that line includes not being gay.
Being in love is easy for Ria and Jewell—the young vampires belong together like vodka and tomato juice. Adding Cheyenne, a talented and sexy incubus, to their union is the hot sauce in their Bloody Mary. The only problem? Vampires and incubi are mortal enemies.
Despite the odds Ria, Jewell and Cheyenne find their way to happiness. But Jewell is hiding a huge secret, one that defies the laws of procreation: She’s going to have a baby.
While she tries to figure out how to break the unbelievable news to her lovers, a horror from Jewell’s past slithers into her present, forcing choices no one should have to make.
Will it be love or death? Happiness or safety? She has until dawn to decide…and it’s already After Midnight.

Excerpt:
The choice between staying in on a Saturday night to clean and going to see Cheyenne at his first real gig hadn’t been a complicated decision. He was a world-class rocker who could play the guitar like a fiend and had a voice that made you feel…everything. Or made you horny. And fuck if she didn’t love him. Damn incubus.
She reached across him and caressed Jewell’s side. Jewell’s eyes opened and she stared expressionless at the ceiling, hyper-alert to danger. It always took a few moments after resurrecting for her to remember where she was and who was with her, but since moving into their new home it seemed to take even longer.
Ria sighed. She’d do anything if it would help Jewell feel safe enough to die each dawn and awaken peacefully. “All is well, Babydoll. It’s just me. Time to rise and twinkle with the stars.”
“Already?” Jewell scrunched her eyes and blinked as if trying to focus them.
Cheyenne lay his head on the soft swell of Jewell’s belly. “Didn’t we just go to bed?”
Ria kissed his back and licked a slow trail down his spine. “Hours ago. Did we tucker out the poor little sex demon?”
“Not hardly, dead girl.”
She grabbed a fistful of his hair and turned him to face her. “That’s undead girl, thank you.” She bit his lower lip and let it drag between her teeth. “Show us what you’ve got left.”

Thanks for having Ria today on your blog. She does usually give interviews because she’s generally mistrusting. Glad it went well!??
