When the kiss broke, they were both a little breathless. Angela’s heart beat fast and her stomach tightened when she looked into his smoldering sapphire eyes.
“I won’t lie, Angela,” he said in a hushed voice. “I want to take you to bed tonight.”
“I know.”
“I should go,” he said and turned to walk away, but she grasped his arm.
“Abe, don’t leave.” Clasping the back of his neck, she tugged his face closer as she stood on tiptoe and whispered against his lips, “Not tonight.”
