In the WeWriWa is a blog hop, writers post 8-10 sentences from one of their books. Last week in my snippet from Fangs and Fists: Grit, the Alpha Wolf of Detroit asked Grit to allow his demon master to contact him, despite Grit’s fear that he wouldn’t be able to win a battle of wills against the demon’s mind control. In this week’s snippet, the Alpha explains his reasons for making such a difficult request.
“We’ll see that you don’t harm anyone, but I believe in you, Grit. No matter what the demons did, you’re still a wolf. You remember being a wolf, and I know that pack ties are stronger than demon magic.”
“Why do you want me to contact him?” Grit asked.
“If he gives you an assignment –”
“They’re called orders.”
“If he gives you orders and you appear to follow through with them, demons will come. It always happens like that when the soulless attack.”
“And when they come –”
“We’ll have prisoners.”
About Fangs and Fists: Grit
(Erotic Paranormal Romance)
Werewolf gladiator Grit faced his own mortality in the arena, only to be resurrected by a demon. Grit now lives a shadowy existence as one of the soulless, remembering only bits and pieces of his former life. Nonetheless, he recognizes evil and knows he must fight for the future of his young son, as well as the rest of the world.
Zari, a vampire warrior, helped Grit escape the tower where he had been imprisoned. She had feelings for Grit when they’d first met, but at the time he had been mated to another wolf. Now that he’s on his own, they’re free to explore their feelings as they fight side by side as part of the rebellion against the demons. In the midst of war, their love grows, but danger is everywhere.
Haylen, the demon who resurrected Grit, offers a bargain that may save or destroy the rebellion. Whatever the outcome, Zari and Grit intend to face it together and explore the once forbidden passion between them.

Sounds like a very dangerous plan.
Definitely dangerous. Way to go!
A dangerous plan, but an excellent strategy!
Sounds like a dangerous plan but if it is successful, the reward of having prisoners will make it all worth while
Sounds dangerous, but the reward of having prisoners should make it all worthwhile!
This sounds like a dangerous plan.
What a dangerous plan! Yikes. I hope it turns out okay.
It’s dangerous, but the Alpha’s faith in Grit isn’t misplaced.
