Welcome to the WeWriWa blog hop, in which writers share 8-10 sentences from one of their stories. Last week my snipped from Mysti and Starr (Wild Witches of Beaver Bay 1) ended with Starr telling Mysti about his magical weapon that allows him to absorb and expel demons. This week their conversation continues with Starr speaking first (I skipped ahead a sentence).
“I was going to tell you about it.”
“I thought your gift was seeing soulmates.”
“A person can have more than one talent.”
“I wonder how many other secrets you have?” she said, both awed and wary.
“Mysti, I understand this is probably upsetting to you, but please cut me some slack. We just met, so we couldn’t possibly tell each other everything in a single night. I’ve been wondering about you, too. Everything about you. We just need more time to get to know each other.”
About Wild Witches of Beaver Bay 1: Mysti and Starr
(Erotic Paranormal Romance)
A blazing trail only he can see leads demon hunting biker Starr Johanson to his destined mate. A blessing placed on her family’s ancestral land summons Mysti Wild to the cabin where she’ll meet the man fated to share her life.
Each fears the other will be frightened by magic they don’t understand, but they quickly learn to trust each other, because no one can resist the person they were born to love.

Very true! It’s impossible to know everything about a person that quickly.
So true and yet romance can happen even when you don’t expect it.
I feel like they’re going to have a couple fun spats in the future! 😀
Ooooh, I love a good secret! I’m thinking these two have plenty.
You don’t want to know everything in one night, either. I enjoyed the snippet, and complications with magic are always fun.
So true! I’m still learning new things about my husband of 46 years.
