Don’t Go All Alpha– Trinity and Jeff #weekendwritingwarriors #8sunday #paranormalromance

Posted on November 23, 2019 by Kate

It’s time for the weekly WeWriWa blog hop in which participating writers share 8-10 sentences from their work.

Last week, my excerpt from Trinity and Jeff left off with Trinity agreeing to let Jeff hang around to meet her destined mate, but warning him not to “act crazy.” Jeff responds by asking what she means, and she has no problem telling him. (I adjusted the punctuation on a sentence to fit the limit.)

“I mean don’t go all alpha, hurt-her-and-I’ll-kick-your-ass on him. Remember, I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this person, and I’d rather not have the two of you hate each other.”

“What does it matter? You’ve already made up your mind about him. Do you think he’ll want us to keep hanging out?”

“Believe it or not, Jeff, some people are sane enough to accept that men and women can be just friends.”

“I accept that,” he said. She raised an eyebrow and he insisted, “I do. I’ve never interfered in your dates.”

“Because I don’t go on dates–I’ve been saving myself for this guy.”

About Wild Witches of Beaver Bay 2: Trinity and Jeff

(Erotic Paranormal Romance)

Denying her love for her childhood friend, Jeff, Trinity visits her family’s ancestral land, believing the Wild family magic has called her there to meet her soulmate. Instead she finds danger at every turn, but she won’t have to face it alone.

Jeff has loved Trinity his whole life, but settled for friendship after she broke his heart on prom night. Now this soldier turned firefighter faces the supernatural to protect Trinity and convince her once and for all that they belong together.

Coming in 2020 from Changeling Press.

She’s seems pretty worried how these two guys will get along, even though Jeff seems cool with the idea of her having a mate. I wonder if she knows something we don’t?

How has she missed that her soul mate is right there with her? He must be the mighty patient kind. It sounds like he’ll do anything for her. Including tolerating a dude he knows is wrong for her. This is going to be an interesting one to watch!

Oh, this sounds like a sizzling love triangle. Looks like she’s all unknowingly really hurting him and can’t see the wood for the trees! Great snippet!

He seems pretty certain that this dude is not going to want him around. Could it be he’s more thinking the guy will pick up on his feelings for Trinity?

Oh I’m so glad Jeff is the true hero – reading this, I hoped he’d win out! Great snippet!

It’s funny she’s so certain about a guy she never met. Like everyone else, I can’t wait to see all three of them together and see how that goes.
