Welcome to the WeWriWa blog hop in which participating writers share 8-10 sentences from their work.
Last week my snippet from Trinity and Jeff (Wild Witches of Beaver Bay) left off with Trinity agreeing to let Jeff hang around to meet her soulmate, but warning him not to “go all alpha.” This week’s snippet skips ahead a few sentences.
Jeff followed Trinity into the cabin. His presence comforted her, and she hated to admit that. She was here to fulfill her destiny and should be confident. The last thing she should need was reassurance, especially from another man when she was here to meet her destined mate.
She needed to get used to not seeing Jeff as often, and knowing that made her sad at a time when she should be happy.
Trinity’s cousin Mysti had been called to the cabin a short time ago and she’d met Starr, her soulmate. Now they were in Maryland with his family. Trinity wondered where her destined mate was from. If the family magic worked for her like it had for so many others of the Wild family, she would know soon.

I so enjoyed your snippet. It’s full of life and interest.
The snippet left me with a lot of plot options LOL and I can’t wait to see how you spin the tale! Sounds really good…
She’s kinda dense, isn’t she? Wake up, lady — Jeff is your destined mate.
I’m with Ed on this–why can’t she see he’s the one she’d destined to be with?
Isn’t it strange how sometimes we just can’t see what’s under our very nose! Really enjoyed the snippet.
She’ll figure it out. I do wonder about her soul mate. I’m looking forward to reading this one. 🙂 !
She can’t see it even though it’s obvious to all of us.
So she hasn’t met her soulmate yet? How does she know he’s her soulmate? An arranged marriage? This snippet makes me so curious. Good job.
I can’t wait to find out who her soul mate is and if she already knows him.
Hmm… Is he really going to be her soulmate? Or is she merely going to think he is?
