Excerpt:
“You love me how? Like a friend? Like a pet? Or is it that you’re used to having me around and you’re afraid to be without me?”
“Oh, please.” She drew back, furious because he knew her so well. “I’m not afraid of — yeah, I am. I don’t want to think about life without you.”
“Then did it ever cross your mind that maybe I’ve always been your soulmate?”
She closed her eyes and shook her head. “I don’t want to think about that stuff anymore.”
“So where does that leave us?”
“That’s up to you. This is the second demon in the past two months that’s appeared at the cabin. You know I come from a long line of witches, Jeff, but way back in the Wild family history, my ancestors were witch warriors. We fought evil creatures like demons. With Mysti and Starr bringing our families together, we suspect that maybe the Wild family gifts are becoming stronger again and that it’s time for us to rejoin the war against evil. If you want out, I won’t blame you.”
He narrowed his eyes. “You’d be okay with that.”
“I’ll have to be. Jeff, you were almost killed tonight because of my connection to a demon. I would do anything to protect you, even if that means giving you up.”
“You were ready to give me up for Thomas. Seems like it doesn’t take much for you to kick me out of your life. It’s almost like you’d take any reason.”
“That’s not true.” Trinity blinked back tears. “How can I claim to love you if I want you to stay where there’s danger? It’s totally selfish of me to drag you into this.”

Interesting conversation that gets right to the nub of their relationship.
Paranormal Romance right up my alley.Enjoyed your blurb and excerpt. Good luck.
Ah, it’s the old “send ’em away for their own protection” ruse. That never works in stories, does it?
