St. Augustine’s Silhouettes:
by Kate Hill
Romantic Suspense, Historical, Paranormal
Excerpt:
“He does have a certain charm,” Ann said, a blush staining her face beneath its dusting of powder.
“No more than any other man,” Paulette scoffed. “It’s that nasty shop of his that mystifies people. I can’t imagine a place like that in our very own town.”
“You haven’t been inside yet?”
“Certainly not! There’s nothing of interest in there to me. Trinkets of the devil are what he trades. They say he has hair the colors of hellfire to prove it. Black and auburn. It’s unnatural. As far as I’m concerned, this town was much better off before Alister St. Augustine arrived. There were no murders before he came.”
Katherine tensed at the mention of the murders.
Blurb:
A killer runs loose in a small American town. When free-spirited Katherine allies herself with a man dubbed Satan by the townsfolk, has she found the man of her dreams or has she fallen into the hands of a murderer?

What an eerie bit here. The ending line grabs attention
Very interesting. I wonder if Mr. Alistair is up to no good or if he’s just the victim of clucking tongues and overactive imaginations.
